Remarks

My friend referred me this collage and I got in counseling. Semester fees are as applicable as government fess. You need to pay some extra fees for other activities, notebooks etc.. Curriculum was really good and staffs are also so efficient to teach. College was somewhat strict than other colleges in Chennai. Placement was really focused mainly on IT companies and some other core companies.

Course Curriculum Overview

I done diploma in mechanical so that's why I choose mechanical engineering. All are M.Tech staffs and some are PhD. Lab facilities are superbly available and explained with experienced staffs. They are conducting mid term exams in the same way of semester exams. Easy to crack the semester.

Internships Opportunities

Project interns are available for those who wish to join. You can do company projects also with permission of college.

Placement Experience

Mostly IT companies and some core companies. There are four institutions and campus placements are common for all.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you come by counseling the fees structure are mentioned as by govt, but in management quota it may higher by 25-30K. Scholarships are also available for those who came by counseling. Campus placements are also available

Campus Life

Very strict college and most of the Saturdays there are no leave. No cultural are done till I studied. If you interested in sports means you can entitle your name on yourself with physical trainer. There is no clubs formed inside the campus. Library facilities are also good.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Before admitting in Vel Tech, I've applied in Quaid E Millath, Queen Mary's College, Nandanam Arts college, Presidency college.I chose Veltech over these because It helps me financially and academically.Even though i had less marks Veltech admitted me. Yes I did get a rejection from other colleges due to my less performance in 12th Standard. It happened because of my medical issues.
