Entrance Preview

I took the CET.My score was good. I score a 150 in the exam and ranked within the top 500 in the state. However, the good colleges for MMS programs were all gone. Hence i took up the PGDBA seat in IES Management College in Bandra, Mumbai. Besides, this college also ranks amongst the top colleges in Mumbaia nd the PGDBA course is as good OR better than the MMS course.

Internships Opportunities

There were many companies that came forward for our College Internship project after our first year in the Management school. These internships were in Media, in Sales, in Research, in Stock Brokerage firms, Management firms etc.However, there were students who also did their own individual projects outside the college in correspondence with our teachers as well.Stipend really depend son the companies that offer you the internship and these ranged from Rs. 6000 for a month to Rs. 20000 for a month, which i think was decent enough.

Placement Experience

There were many companies that came forward for our College Placements Plan after our completing our studies in the Management school. These companies were from varied industries like Media, in Sales, in Research, in Stock Brokerage firms, Management firms etc.Most of us got placed that year.

Exam Structure

Every year has 2 semesters. Besides, there are special projects in each semester. Also, there used to be surprise tests and also formal presentations that carried marks.

Faculty

The faculties in the College were one of the best in the industry. Teaching staff with an average experience of atleast 35 years in the Management field and sharing their enriching experience with us students was really value adding. Apart from the in house teaching staff, we had an excellent mix of Visiting Faculty, which was again best in the class. These visiting faculties were teaching right out of their passion for the respective topic and their passion of sharing their expertise with us.

My SBS Journey

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

To be honest there are placements but the placements are like no one want to be there it is just something unacceptable for the HR students . The promises the long talks are all false and they doesn't focus on students future and career rather they care for just attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. First of all I wasn't aiming this college, I was getting NL Dalmia College but due to high fees The next good college I felt after Dalmia was IES compare to the other colleges in Bandra.The admission Process had a Personal interview with Passing criteria of CET ,ATMA,CMAT whichever entrance test you have given.Just you need to have a decent /passing marks in the entrance.
