JIIT review Simplified

I chose to attend this college because of my not so good rank of 55k in jee mains. At this rank, this was the best option available. The college is located at the prime location of Noida sec 62 which is itself a plus point compared to any other option available. This might not seem a great point at first but you realize it in your 3rd year or the time you look for internships. The college is great in terms of opportunities and platforms to display your talent. There are plenty of clubs and activities going around to support the holistic development of the students. The campus though it is small is very beautifully maintained and you will love to roam around it like anything. With good quality and highly hygienic mess food available you won't miss your home food. The teachers, placements everything is great here. Only a little disappointment would be a small ground. Admission is based on the basis of rank in jee mains ( but there is separate quota called NRI quota also available).

I chose this course due to the high demand in the industry and the great scope in the future. The faculty-student ratio is good and some teachers are really passionate and into research. Some teachers are really good and some not. This is the case in every college so not a big difference. But here every teacher is highly qualified and mostly graduated from IIT NIT BITS and has a Ph.D. in their respective fields. They are also well informed with the current technologies and are always pushing the students to innovate something. There are projects installed in every classroom but some teachers prefer whiteboard. Studies are very present needs-oriented and not an old trash syllabus. Exams are conducted thrice in every semester. 2 minor tests each of 20 marks and 1 major test of 35 marks. Rest 25 marks are for internals which include attendance, assignments, and class participation.

The T&P cell of the college is very active and companies ranging from Google, Microsoft, Amazon,grofers, airtel, JP Morgen to TCS, Infosys visit and recruit the students. There is also a special placement preparation course given by the University to help the students. The highest package ranges from Rs 40 lakh to 1 cr anything depending on the student's capability. The average package is around 4 lakhs. Almost 70% of students get placed here. My plans would be to take up a job after studies

The fees are quite feasible as compared to other big branded colleges(VIT, Manipal, etc). The tuition fees are around 88k and the development fee 30k which sums up to approx 120k. Also, you have to pay another 62k if you opt for a hostel. So, all in all, you pay 350k at the end of 1 year. Also, there is a fee hike of around 15k to 20k every year in some or the other way. There is no scholarship provided here but financial assistance is provided.

The life at the sprawling JIIT campus is just awesome. With over more than 3k students residing on the campus, the facilities provided there are awesome. Twin sharing rooms with AC geyser, laundry facilities, gym, tv room, carrom room, swimming pool everything is available here. The LRC ( library) here is best in all terms and you find every book you need. The tables here have charging points so you don't have to worry about charging your laptop. Annual fest named Impressions is conducted every year which is extremely great and fun. You can also attend the fest at Jiit sec 128 named Converge which is worth a visit and is just great. Regular hackathons and techfest are also held by the clubs. Classrooms are well equipped with projects. Each room has an AC and proper lightning with individual chairs and desks. Fun sports meet is held to keep students active and regular competitions are held.NSS activities, different clubs like Thespian, Parola are quite often here.

Each room is twin sharing. Every room has 2 beds, chairs tables, and individual cupboards. The hostel mess is extremely good with different meals provided 3 times a day. The meal is very hygenic and the menu includes healthy nutritious food only. A separate form has to be filled for the hostel at the time of registration and hostels are very affordable and extremely safe.
