Real truth of engineering life

As per the options available regarding the college's to apply for counselling I prefer it as the best in mechanical engineering with good infrastructure and facilities and faculty rather than other colleges nearby. It is my personal interest in preferring this college without any other issues. I preferred to be a mechanical engineer so I'm pursuing my B.Tech in it. Even though the college is far from my home but due to my interest in it, I'm keeping all my stress apart and taking an active role to pursue my career in it. At first semester everything seems to be perfect, but later on, faculty members are keeping pressure, stress regarding assignments, records, projects. But to complete my under graduation career I have to face and move on with all these kind of things as later we will face in our job experience. So I'm carrying on it. But what I expected in engineering life is not the same.

I preferred mechanical engineering on my personal interest and the faculty were really amazing with high qualifications and are very cooperative towards the students and more than they will behave friendly with the students. They teach in such a way that without any queries and explaining any kind of doubts any number of times with patience. That seems to be perfect and regarding the exams obviously it is tough and proper preparation may helpful to get better marks.

Our college provides mostly off-campus internships and according to our department, it would be with some manufacturing, production and designing fields. Faculty members also help us in suggesting and helping us regarding internships and also about facing the interviews.

Campus placement is available in our college from 6th semester onwards and as per the mechanical department many companies like Mahindra, Infosys, Bosh, Hyundai, etc. Visit and the placement thing is really a bit tough as the process regarding it is not easy as at each level the difficulty nature increases and the percentage of the students getting placements are in between 30% - 40%. And the package is also high and the highest package is 4.5 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I usually prefer to get a job as I'm not interested in planning some further higher studies and I have a project which will be definitely useful to the mankind and I want to propose it to some company during my interviews and even if I get a job or not I will try to develop and finish my project. It is simply like my dream project.

Yearly we have to pay 82500rs with nearly 7000 extra fees regarding the exam and other maintenance. And I have fee reimbursement of 35000, so I need to pay totally of 55350rs and regarding the scholarship, I used to have jnana bhumi government scholarship. Initially, we got the scholarship amount for 2 months and later as per the change of government, rules have been changed and my scholarship was in pending due to some property assessment and now I finally cleared all the issues regarding the scholarship but still, the amount has not been sanctioned and hoping that it will be done soon.

Ventilation in the classroom is perfect and with a class strength of 60 members and regarding the festsany events has taken place in our college as technical as well as cultural events and workshops are also being conducted in our college were most o the students from all the departments of various colleges also attending it and each and every event takes place in an extraordinary manner of organizing. We used to have sports time during some days where we used to enjoy a lot with Al the facilities for cricket and basketball games and also we used to have sports competition among various colleges. The library was really amazing which was modified recently with lots of facilities and books regarding academics or non-academics are available and also the digital library where many of the students having a great time. For each department, there used to be some clubs which will encourage students to get participate under the guidance of the faculty for the students to bring out their talents.
