IBSAT exam was conducted by IBS team itself followed by Presentation and PI. They do not reveal any scores. This seemed to be the best option at that time.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is very detailed and covers a good amount of subjects, equivalent to any Tier 1 B-School. It included both theoretical and practical subjects with a 2 months internship program in corporates.
Internships Opportunities
IBS has good number of companies who come for internship. Since thenumber of students are very high, so at times it becomes difficult for all to get placed. Students have to try on their own too for internship. The stipend goes upto Rs. 50,000 and some even work without any stipend.
Placement Experience
Since the number of students are very high, there is mix in placements too. The top students do get very good opportunties, in companies like UBS, DE Shaw, JP Morgan etc.
College Events
Several clubs are there which conduct events, starting from cultural to subject related like Economics, finance, Money markets etc. There is no limit for events, in case if you have interest.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, college does have many scholorship facilities, every semester they do offer some. During my time it was Rs. 1,00000 in first two semesters, not sure wat is the current one.
Alumni/Alumna
Very strong alumni, as almost 1000 students pass every year and are spread almost across the world. The only disadvantage is that they are not able to use this network very effectively.
Exam Structure
Exam stucture is internals which includes surprise tests, class participation, projects etc and external exams one evry semester which is more like a school term exams.
Faculty
Faculty was a mix of Senior guys from the industry with lots of practical experience, mainly retired professionals. Young faculties doing PHD who are having very good command over the subject matter and very enthusiastic.
