Internships and opportunities

Well, 1st of all I didn't want to do engineering but by luck, I got good marks in boards as well as jee so my parents gave me advice of doing engineering so then I started searching for colleges in M. P then I found that SGSITS is very good and reputed college of India. It has a good placement record and highly esteemed faculty. But it has a very small campus. Like literally very small. Around 10 June it's admission process began and I've taken EE branch on the 1st round of MP DTE counselling. I prefer this college bcoz the fees was very less and were also not far away from my home town. Collegedunia and engineer 360 has helped me a lot by recommending this college.

I choose EE because it was a core branch. And in India, there is a lot of opportunities in railways and marine sector and also the reputed PSU like ONGC IOCL etc. In sgsits we had a good amount of faculty. Like for every subject we had one junior faculty and one experienced faculty so overall faculty to student ratio is quite good. Experienced faculty have done their PhD from India's prestigious IIT. And all of the faculty opts modern teaching with a high amount of knowledge in their respective fields. Well in every two months midterms were taken of 20 marks each subject which was of moderate level and at the end of 6 months semester exams were taken which was called end seems exam. The level of the exam was quite good and the entire syllabus was asked with some conceptual and practical based question.

Yes in 6th-semester company's do appear for internship opportunities like last time in June 2019 delliot has come for providing internships in business marketing stream and offered 40 students the internship opportunity with a stipend of 40k and also Goldman Sachs has also taken 7 students for internship with 1 lakh of stipend on completion of the internship. Every semester we get a major project from one core subject which needs to be submitted at the end of the semester. With this project, we get some practical knowledge and how to apply theoretical knowledge with the practical one.

After 6th sem students are eligible for campus placement. There 3 types of company band which are a non-dream band which offers <4.5 LPA. Dream band which offers in between 6 to 15lpa. Super dream band which offers around 20+ LPA In Non-dream band which are often called as day 1 company the company's that visits the campus are Infosys Wipro TCS pgs.

Well for me fees are very good. Only 33k for a semester. There is no such fee hike in a long time. I guess this is the perfect suitable price so that a normal middle class can also afford it. There is a scholarship given by MP govt. Called Madhavi chatra yojana in which students who get 85% in boards and have ranks less than 50k in jee mains the entire fees are paid by the government which is a very great deed by our govt. The company's that come on the placement season offers quite a good placement. It varies from branch to branch but on summing up if you are even an average student you had a chance to grab a good job offer.

When you look at the exterior the college is quite good like good placement and all but when it comes to social life like events and all. It's quite abominable. There is no such fest which is organised in college actually the social life is quite dull. We've no such stage for that. But still, a student is doing a great job by forming a club and organising their separate events like I'm in the fine arts and photography club of my college called club 'PRATIBIMB' which is organising events every year and also there are many other social clubs in respective fields.
