Dipika's Review On IBS, Hyderabad

There are no bad remarks about IBS Hyderabad. If you are looking forward to have Masters degree in Management then you can surely look forward to IBS.

I took IBSAT was the entrance examination which i gave for joining this college. I scored 98 percentile in total by adding my GD and Personal Interview points. This college is located almost 20 km outside Hyderabad so thus the climate conditions of this place are pleasant 24*7. I always wanted to stay in hostel and IBS is and was the best option.

I have taken Marketing as my Major in 2nd year of MBA. First year was common for all electives and it included mixture of all majors so that we could form a base. First year electives helped us to decide our specialization in 2nd year. A 3 months internship program is arranged for students where we get to know about corporate life and their style of work.

I did my internship in an IIT based startup wegilant Net Solutions. The stipend offeren to me was INR 5000. As it was a startup company my role was dynamic. I was allowd to follow my own practice with the help of my mentor.

IBS has really good opportunities. Highest International package landed up to INR 46 Lacs and highest National Package is about 16 Lacs.

We are a part of Maverick,official marketing and strategy club of IBS Hyderabad. Maverick organizes many events and activities guest lectures. We have even started to get internship and placement offers for our colleagues through Maverick.

In IBS hyderabad its compulsory to stay in Hostels and opt for Mess food.

I am not aware of this facility. IBS Hyderabad offers Scholarship of about 1 Lac after your 1st year of MBA. The scholarship is based on the CGPA secured in 1st year.

Campus life is awesome and full energetic. We have many extracuuricular activities like Sports arena,gym. We have many social clubs working for social causes and performing CSR activities.

IBS Hyderabad has single occupancy room system with all basic amenities provided. The mess is also available 24*7. There are more than 500 rooms for boys and girls.

Every year we have an alumni meet in November. All the placed and senior post alumnus are welcomed in IBS. The alumni often come with placement or internship opportunities. There are mentorship sessions wherein,seniors interact with us and help us solve our doubts.

The exam structure is divided into 4 semesters with an additional internship period in between. College starts in June and resumes till February. So the exam period is in last week of September ad second week of February.

The faculty of this college are awesome. Majorly all have doctorate degree in various specializations. Many even have some really good corporate experience. So the blend of both makes the best for a student to nurture and study.
