Entrance Preview

I took various entrance exams like CAT, NMAT, MAT, SNAP. But for IBS, I took IBSAT and scored 81% ile. I took this college because the placements were good.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was good. It involved a lot of presenting on various topics which enhances an individual's confidence amd public speaking abilities.

Placement Experience

Placements were really good.Companies like delloitte, icici bank, sbi bank, kotak mahindra insurance, capgemini came. Delloite offered somewhere close to 5 lpa, Icici bank 7 lpa, Sbi bank - 5.5 lpa, Kotak - 4.5 lpa, Cap Gemini - 4.5 lpa.

College Events

Many college events were being celebrated like freshers party where all freshers are welcomed and have a gala time with singing and dancing competition. Konflux which is a annual fest of IBS mumbai where a lot of inter college competitions are held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was a very expensive course. 8.5 lacs to be paid in 5-6 emi over the course of 2 yearsWe were required to pay 80000/- via DD to confirm our admission for the course. Then we had to pay another EMI for 150000/- for our prep classes. The first semester starts from 1st June after which you pay 150000/- every semester till 4th sem.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, IBS had 2 scholarships. Merit cum means ,This was decided on the basis of family income and academics score till graduation. Merit scholarshipThis was given in each semester upto 60000/-on the basis of Grades scored.

Alumni/Alumna

No such experience. The seniors were helpful during the course period. Bt now we dont have any such network. Our college holds Alumni meet frequently bt I hve nt been able to make it since I have moved out of the city.

Exam Structure

We had exams every 3-4 months. 4 exams for 4 semesters and each semester has 6-7 electives which needs to be presented via some topic for internal ratings. And a lot of presentations and assignments. All in all, this structure made us dedicated and it helped us prepare a lot for the real corporate world.

Faculty

Faculty was also good. Though a few electives didn't have great faculty bt the overall experience and learning was good. It has added a lot of value to my personality. Many faculties present that time had good industry experience whereas a few didnt have much. All faculty were deeply concerned and dedicated to the overall growth of the students. They had valuable insights to give whenever you approach them.

My SBS Journey

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

To be honest there are placements but the placements are like no one want to be there it is just something unacceptable for the HR students . The promises the long talks are all false and they doesn't focus on students future and career rather they care for just attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.

I applied for ibs mumbai because of it's location, teaching and faculty. It was according to my requirements.
