Remarks

now admission is through JEE main one of the oldest college in India, placement in CSE and non-core branches are better this college is better than many NITS infrastructure is average but college has good teachers

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers in college are highly qualified and experienced. They all are helpful in academic activities, and they follow foreign writers' books to teach us. Few teachers have their own written books, and all the teachers are very innovative and experienced. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students' industry-ready. Students go for industrial training after 2nd-year and 3rd-year, which provides knowledge about industries for students.

Internships Opportunities

students apply for internships off-campus in PSUs, power plants, NTPC UPPCL, etc, also many companies offer internships on campus for both 2nd year and 3rd-year students.

Placement Experience

In the electrical engineering department, placements are pretty decent. Students are more tilted towards government aspects and thus chose to take jobs through Gate exams. It is one of the best colleges to produce engineers, IES, and IAS. Companies like Hindalco, Samsung, L&T, etc., visit our campus for placements. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2-3 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

About 60% of students in our branch got placed. Top recruiting companies like Hindalco, GlobalLogic, ZS, Tata Motors, Samsung, yatra.com, etc visit our campus for placements. Top roles, like an assistant engineer, assistant manager, executive trainee, and an executive engineer, are offered to the students. The highest salary package offered in our course ranges between 9-10 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges between 6-7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered ranges between 4-4.5 LPA. Almost 100% of the students got an internship in companies like NTPC, PWD, GAIL, UPPCL, IOCL, ONGC, Power Plants.

Technical and cultural fest organized every year in the college Library of the college has good facilities many social groups and club run by students

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More

I only applied on josaa counselling and then in HBTU. My rank was not good enough to get a confirm seat in any core branch . Then I opted for HBTU counselling which was providing better seat in that rank if compared .Then onwards I didn't apply in any of the college. To get admission in HBTU Kanpur, you can register in the college counselling and fill the desired seats.
