Remarks

Institute of engineering and rural technology (IERT) is Asia's first diploma college, established in 1955. It is a college for diploma and degree as well. It is affiliated for AKTU commonly known as UPTU. Fir taking admission here you have to qualify the entrance exam conducted by IERT in offline mode. After that in counselling according to merit and choice of the students the branches are allotted, there are maximum 75 seats per branch and there is total 13 branches . Here in IERT you'll got a variety of diploma courses that you want to study. Companies also come in IERT for placements of students i.e. (Mahindra, Hindalco,Tata etc) The good thing in IERT is you'll grow your personality and brain as well, the unity among IERTians is great. The worst thing of IERT is its management , you'll face a lot of sanitary problems , electricity problem and lack of laboratory apparatus for performing the experiment.

My course is electronics engineering. I've chosen this branch because I am interested in semiconductors and it's integrated circuits and robotics as well. Exam of IERT is bit difficult than other polytechnics because it's syllabus haven't shortened since the college is established. So it's bit tough to pass the exams

In 6 semester students are eligible for campus placements. There are many companies who came in IERT for seek of talent of good students. Companies like Mahindra, tata , hindalco etc . Package started with INR 20000 and later may increase after the promotion.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is very affordable it's overall INR 20000 per year for diploma courses and students get 100% scholarship.

Campus Life

Annual function held every year in month of February/March. After admission there is freshers party arranged by seniors of particular branch. Sports day is also celebrated. NCC is also available for students .

Placement Experience:

Our study is important but the most important thing is the placement, which makes your career better. Our college has campus placement and many companies visit and hire our students. In many branches, not all the students get the placement but the students who are toppers and who are good in their study get the placement. I also dream to get a placement so that I can get a job quickly after my diploma. For that, I am really working hard and improving my skills, knowledge, and my scores. Tata Motors, Layam Group, Myntra, Bajaj, and other companies come to our college for the placement. In the final year of our course, this opportunity comes to us and we are very much awaited for that.

Best engineering college for BTech and polytechnic. Architecture department are also in our college. Labs, laboratories, libraries. Buses with camera. Girl hostels.

Placement Experience:

In the last semester, our senior get a job in many respected companies. About 70 to 80% of students placed in every year. About 40 students placed in Mechanical in core companies in this. Covid time by virtual placement drive. And minimum package for diploma student is 2.5 LPA to 5lpa.

Placement Experience:

Many companies visited our campus. Every year more than 90 percent of students placed in companies like Shalimar,eldeco, BCC, etc. The percentage should not below 60 percent for participate in interviews. Minimum salary package for freshers of diploma engineering hired 3.5 lakhs per annum. I am planning to go for the government junior engineers exam after completing my diploma

BEST GOVT. POLYTECHNIC IN UP

Remarks:

Positives Beautiful Campus : This might seem irrelevant to some, but the natural beauty is what comes to your rescue when you feel you have hit rock-bottom. Single Rooms : People have different opinions about this, but I have come to respect this particular facility at our campus. Location of campus (away from city) : This is a very subjective issue, but I think that the location of campus (distance from city) leaves us lesser distractions. Negatives :- Weak Alumni Base : Although it is definitely possible to achieve any goal in life without assistance from alumni, but their experience can definitely make the journey simpler for many. However, lately, many alumni of IIT Guwahati are connecting back with the student community and I am grateful to them for taking out their time for interacting with us. Single Rooms : Yes, I covered this in positives as well, but I think I must point out the cons of this facility. Students, especially in the first year, might feel lonely and find it hard to interact with others. A shared room provides you with one or more readily accessible friends whose privacy you can breach without asking, from day one. Mess : However the Mess System is undergoing a lot of changes, this is one aspect that has a lot of scope for improvement.

Let's talk about IERT Prayagraj

There were better option like IET, Lucknow and private colleges in Noida but firstly I wanted government college and secondly near my home town. That's the best option was IET Lucknow but my score in jee mains that was 86 percentile didn't allow me to be in IET. And don't want to take a single drop for preparation. I cleared my 12th and gave April session JEE main exam. The admission process is very simple. After your JEE result keep eye on UPTU website for registration process. As soon as you register before counseling you will have option to choose list of your choice college. Then there will be 4 rounds of counseling if get the college accept it and you'll get seat allotment letter. IERT a place to experience everything..

My score in UPSEE entrance exam was quite good to get any college in the state but I made a choice for iert because of its legacy, and here we got enough time to pursue our hobbies and to study for next exams like GATE, ESE or UPSC.
