Go through all the pros and cons before joining it

The good thing about this college is some of its faculty who are really knowledgeable and reputation of this college in mp bcoz it is the oldest government college. Bad thing is you will get not a good peer group which is a very important thing for your overall growth. And education quality is also not satisfactory. You can study a day before the exam and still can top in the exam. No fest is organised only an annual function is organised which is worse than our school annual functions seriously. So, if you really wanna enjoy college life do not consider joining it. Until and unless you are from some government schools or village areas bcoz you will not gonna like it. The admission process is through direct counselling and the basis is your 12th percentage. 60-70% of sc st candidates will also get an admission that too from government and mp board school which is very easy to score and that doesn't show your capabilities.

I chose this course considering its scope. It has good scope if one wants to be in a research or teaching field. The faculty-student ratio is 1:20. Many students take admission and did not appear until the exam. All the faculties have good qualifications but not everyone is a good teacher or interested in teaching. The teaching method is boring. Term exam takes place on time and results are declared timely. It is extremely easy (cakewalk) to pass the exam. You may face a problem if you are from government schools. Otherwise studying a week before is sufficient you may actually top with that much studying.

If you have some computer science degree so you may apply for companies. Otherwise generally one has to take masters degree and Then consider employment. If you want to go for civil services or another government exam then the only graduation is sufficient.

Fees are nominal as it is a government college. Sc st students study at even 1 rupee. One can get a scholarship on the basis of their 12th marks. The general category may have to pay full fees. No campus placement generally bcoz this college generally provide pure science degree which has more scope in research. You have to take a masters degree.

No clubs, no fest, only one annual function which is not worth it. There is a basketball ground where you can play. If you want to join NCC then this college is really good.
