My two years experience at RGUKT Basar. Completed PUC in 2020

Let we start with the admission process. Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) Is an autonomous university. It doesn't conduct any entrance test for admission. Admission into this campus is completely based on SSC(10th class either state board or central board) CGPAIt is a government university especially gives preference for govt school students and from rural area student studied in a private school. The students who are from private schools willing to apply for this university must have 10/10 GPA so that there are maximum chances to get admission because for govt schools a deprivation score 0.4 is added so 9.6=10 GPA Later there are reservation quota after open category. If your annual income is below 1.5 lac then you are eligible for fee reimbursement You can apply for this university through online and should send the necessary documents through post. Then after some days the university releases the selection list 1500 seats available for details you can check site www.rgukt.ac.in

This university provides 6 year integrated btech program. First two years PUC and then based on that you can give branch preferences for btech. There are 7 branches CSE,ECE,CIVIL, CHEMICAL,EEE,MME, MECH. As I completed PUC this year I can say about it. As RGUKT is at Basar,Nirmal district Telangana. Telangana state curriculum (Telugu academy books) is followed. But along with that there is an extra subject IT Information Technology. Faculty is nice from few from NITs other universities etc. They teach very well and give useful assignments time to time. Coming to student ratio it's 68:32 girls:boys ratio:-) And semester system is followed.so 4 SEMs for 2yrs. There r 3 mids(conceptual questions r asked) for each SEM 15 marks each. Among them best of 2 r taken into consideration for internals so 15+15 30 & 10 for various assignments, activities etc so 40 marks internal. And End semester exam of 60 marks. Lab exams,lab vivas r conducted at the end of even semester. Lab equipments are good

Various internships are provided but I don't know much about them as I just completed PUC. So I don't have much knowledge about it. Internships from few companies are provided. As I don't know much am giving 50-50 rating for this experience.

As I completed PUC just I can share about my seniors. From the first semester of final year of btech students are eligible for campus placements. 60+ companies visit our campus. Like TCS,way2online,Infosys, thougtworks etc You can check about it further at placement cell at official site www.rgukt.ac.in As far as I know 8-9 lpa is the highest package. 50%+ students get placed and others cracked govt exams.

Coming to fee structure if you are not eligible for fee reimbursement then you should pay 36000 for each year during PUC. Based on reservation I think for SC/ST if their annual income is <2 lac and for others <1.5 lac then they are eligible for scholarship i,e fee reimbursement. It is provided by state government (epass Telangana website) But it takes lil time for the scholarship as it is a govt process! Hostel facilities are also good. Campus infrastructure is also good with good accommodation,grounds etc There is a laundry available. You need to pay 800 for washing your clothes and 1200 for washing and ironing.(This price was during my time I joined in 2018. And in 2020 my PUC is completed) 60+ companies visit for campus recruitment. You can check the placement cell on the campus official website www.rgukt.ac.in

Coming to campus life it's awesome. As in the first year most of the students who don't have hostel experience feel homesick. So to avoid it there are 15-20 students in each room! And in second year only 2 students in each room. You will make plenty of friends there. As every year classmates and roommates are shuffled. Friends from various districts! And there is 0% ragging. Seniors support a lot. During January for 3 days 3 nights techfest is celebrated. You can Google it to know more Antahpragnya and Trinayana. And various events,talks take place. Gym,SAC student activity centre, auditorium, basketball courts, cricket ground,table tennis and many more various competitions. 24/7 library and there is a digital library which closes at 5pm And each student is provided a laptop too. WiFi hostels. Nice campus if we utilize it wisely because there is a lot of freedom.

Yeah it is campus attached hostel. As I already said in my review that if you are eligible for fee reimbursement then you need not to pay. Just during counselling you need to pay around 10 k which includes refundable deposit, caution deposit etc etc. Hostel facilities are also okay with good bathrooms, drinking water facility at ground floor. Mess is also okay. If you are already a hosteler then you know about hostel food But comparatively the food is good.
