Journey to be a doctor

The course curriculum of our subject is quite vast and difficult. We have to study anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and community medicine in first two semesters. We study pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, community medicine, forensic medicine, surgery, TB chest, dermatology, medicine etc. from 3rd to 5th semester. From 6th to 9th semester, we have to study general medicine, surgery and anaesthesia, dermatology, orthopaedic, ophthalmology, radiology, TB test etc. Examinations are conducted on semester basis which include practical exams as well.

The placement of our college is very good. The students of our college got placed easily in many big hospitals since past several years. Our college conducts various tests and training for the recruitment process. Some of the major hospitals which provides jobs in our college are Sharda hospital, Medanta, Max health care, HLL life care LTD. , Fortis hospital, Metro Hospital, etc.

The fee structure of our college is quite expensive and a middle class family can't afford this fees but if we compare the fees with the other private colleges then we can say that this is not very high and is equivalent to the fees of normal MBBS. The fees for the first year is 11,50,000 INR including all the tuition fees, examination fees etc. The fee for the full course is around 7300000 INR.

College organises various seminars, conferences, competitions, celebtrity events, sports events and many other extra curricular activities. Our college invites famous celebrities in every six months. Recently the famous Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa has visited our college. Besides this, our college organises folk dance competition and debate competitions from time to time.

There are 5 boys and 5 girls hostels in the college and all the hostels are well furnished and well ventilated. The environment of hostel is safe and many guards are there for the safety of the students. The food facility is very good and for each house, there is a warden appointed by the college.

The selection process of this college is based upon 10 + 2 marks and NEET medical examination scorecard. We have to secure 50% marks in intermediate and then we have to fill online form for NEET examination. After qualifying the NEET we have to check the cut off list released by the college. If we are eligible then we have to submit the admission fee along with the documents for the final selection process.

All the teachers of our college are well qualified and most of the teachers have secured top AIR rank in NEET and other medical examinations. The behaviour of all the teachers is appreciable and supporting. They clear our doubts not only in the classroom but outside the classroom as well and motivate us to achieve our goals.
