Course Curriculum Overview
Bachelor of Psychology is a three year course duration which provides an insight to the study of conscious and unconscious phenomena, as well as feeling and thought. One can work as a Advertising Agents, Career Counselor,Case Manager, Child Care Worker, Laboratory Assistant, Market Researcher,Psychiatric Technician, Probation and Parole Officer after the completion of the course.
Placement Experience
In my course almost 95% of students got placed last year batch. The highest package offered was 16 Lacs and the lowest package offered was 6 Lacs and the average package was 7-8 Lacs. The institute also provide internship to the students for corporate exposure. The recruiters of the campus are ericson, wirpo etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is very minimal. No huge amount of money is required as admission fee. The university provides only three year course. The first year fees, which is the admission fee, that is Rs.5,600/- and the for the rest two years, the fees is Rs.2,200/-. All it amounts to Rs.10,000/- at the end of three years.
Campus Life
The university was established in 2006. The University offers a number of 5 Undergraduate, 32 Postgraduate and 28 M.Phil/Ph.D. programs with different specializations. Sports form an important part of the university. Laboratories, canteen, common rooms are present too.Library, medical room exercise room, computer labs, auditorium all such facility are available here for the students.
Admission
Central Admission Test (CAT) for all applicants of UG and PG programs takes place. The total marks is 100, out of which 50% is required to qualify the examination. Along with these, the marks scored in 10+2 examination is taken into consideration. A weight age of 10% is awarded to the registered students of Sikkim University for the purpose of preparation of merit list of UG courses.
Faculty
The teachers here are well experienced and have good knowledge in their respected subjects. They are always there to solve the problems of the students and motivate them to work better. They try their best to give as much as possible knowledge of the subject to the students. Hence the course curriculum is very good here and it makes the students industry ready.
