Shravan Kumar Chirlanchi's Review On Vardhaman College Of Engineering - [VCE], Hyderabad

Overall I would rate my college as one of the good college to pursue engineering education. College needs to focus more on getting core companies and spending more time in providing practical knowledge for students pursuing core courses.

I took EAMCET exam and I scored a rank of 21596. I opted this college in my second counselling just because it was established in 1999 which was older among all the options which I have. Heard about it before that faculty and facilities were good.

Course curriculum was same as that of JNTU course curriculum as at that time it was affiliated to JNTU. Electronics subjects were divided equally into 3 years same with communications as well. We had only one programming language 'C' and some part of Assembly language programming. Max I am using these in my current job.

For internship no companies came at our time. Because we did not had concept of internship at our time for final year project we choose outside organization NSIC to work with our project.

Placements and Job opportunities were good. We had almost 8 to 9 companies visited our college for placements. But one drawback was all are related to Software field. No company came for selecting Electronics engineers.

During 4 years of my college life college has celebrated 2 times Annual day. We were working committee members for TechFest arranged in our college in 2007.

Fee structure was feasible as mine is govt seat which needs to in sync with govt guidelines. But private seat was bit costly for Middle class people to afford.

Mostly we used to bunk classes for extra curricular activities. As only in first year we used to have special hour for sports. Later it was removed. Viveca group has been formed which used to organize debates and some campus selection guidance programs which were really helpful.

During our time only boys hostel used to run which also didnot have proper warden and proper maintainance. Mess food was pathetic.

Recently college conducted Alumni meeting which was first after I passed out. Mostly college people were not active in college's social network as well.

Exam structure just followed JNTU exam timelines for conducting semester exams. During our time college used to conduct Internal exams and Lab exams.

Faculty in college was very good with good knowledge and experience in teaching field. Labs and infrastructure were really maintained well. I needs some enhancements in Electronics labs.
