Course Curriculum Overview
The college offers a 5 years and 6 months MBBS degree course. Each year you will have to give an exam to get promoted to the next year. There are also some practical tests, model tests, etc. that are carried out throughout the year. If you fail in any of the subjects or exams, you will get a year back and have to study the same year again, until you clear all the exams.
Placement Experience
After graduating from the college, it is up to you whether you want to go for Post Graduate or get into work. If you choose the latter, there's nothing to worry about. You will surely find a good package in any hospital. Also, you can start practicing in the college hospital itself. They provide some extra perks for their students which you will hardly find somewhere else.
Fee Structure And Facilities
One may find the fee structure of the college slightly higher, but when compared to other institutions, the fee here is decent. For a 5.5-year MBBS course, one would have to pay approximately 12-13 lac rupees.
Campus Life
The campus life is good, it has an anti-ragging cell. So, the freshers need not worry about being ragged by the seniors. You can find students from various cultural background in the campus. Boys and girls are quite amiable with one another.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are helping in nature but it depends on you how you leave your first impression on them. You can also look up to the senior during exams if you are stuck in any chapter or subject. Also, the alumni network is decent and you can contact them for any guidance or advice.
Admission
You need to pass class 12th board exam and score the desired marks. Along with that you also need to score the cut-off marks in NEET or PMET (Punjab's state medical entrance test). If you have cleared either of the entrance exam, you will be called for counselling based on merit.
Faculty
You will find some good and excellent faculties in the college. Alongside, you might also find some average professors or teachers whom one may find rude. But at the end of the day, it is totally up to you how you deal with them. Just be polite, I am sure every teacher will be nice to you.
