"Goan Life and Studies"

The curriculum works in accordance to the guidelines of Medical Council of India. They're strict in attendance and students are provided with detailed classes on each topic. There are semester exams followed by a Viva and is based on the instruction of the Goan University. The final exams are done with theory and practicals. Since the syllabus itself is hectic, we're troubled and tired during exams.

The college provides internship for all the students after the final year of MBBS. The Stipend is for one year and is around Rs.15000 per month. The internship program is very much useful for the students and makes them capable through experience.

The college organises annual day celebrations along with other cultural and sports events. Inter collegiate competitions are often organised and we are also permitted to participate in programs organised by other colleges. Teachers encourage us to participate in them thereby ensuring the widening of our talents.

Being a Government Medical College, the fee structure is quite feasible here. The fee structure differ for those students who belong to the reservation category and for the other students. It is about Rs.50000 per semester. Hostel, Mess and other fees are excluded from this.

There are scholarship facilities for the reservation category. Also the class topper is rewarded with a good scholarship. These facilities help many poor children to attain a better education. Other than this, there is Stipend that helps many to complete their course.

There are a myriad of workshops and lecture series by eminent figures to enrich the students. Sports cell is active along with the cultural activities. The college has a proper laboratory, computer labs, medical equipments and a perfect library.

Yes I've opted for Hostel. Comparatively the girls hostel is far better than the boys hostel. Though there are certain problems, hostel life is really good. It's a place of enjoyment and all the tiredness of the hectic syllabus is lost once we're in the hostel. We've many cultural programs and the rate too is not that high.

Yes we're in touch with our seniors. They offer is a helping hand with advices and suggestions. The notes used bu them is shared by us too. They're very supportive and caring. We've never faced a ragging or any such problem.

My keen interest in the field of Science made me find an apt college for doing my MBBS course and Goa Medical College was my choice. Known for the fusion of European and Indian culture/beauty, Goa is a favourite destination for many and it was my dream to study in this beautiful land. I've applied to the course of MBBS with my NEET UG Medical Scorecard. The selection process also involved NEET UG counselling session.

The college provides a good ratio of well trained and highly educated faculty members equipped with all the modern technology. Teachers are with perfect teaching skills and experience. They're supportive as well as helping and stands with us in our ups and downs. Rather than keeping the students inside the academic circle, teachers aid us in our overall development and are very sincere.
