Remarks
I have nothing negative to say for HLM. It is a good college in terms of the quality of education. Although, in terms of industry exposure there is a scope of improvement. All in all I made a lot of memories.
Course Curriculum Overview
MBA course spanned over 2 years. We were given additional facilities such as a free laptop, an international trip, and a lot of value added certificates. We studied a lot of practical courses such as asset management and risk management. The curriculum was very straightforward and apt. I did my specialisation in HR.
Placement Experience
A lot of great companies like HDFC Bank, Nestle, Samsung came for recruitments during my tenure. The highest package was around 6 LPA. Additionally, there were paid internship opportunities available for students with stipends of 8-10k. They were decent but could have been better.
College Events
All festivals were celebrated at HLM. Starting from Onam to Bihu, Holi, Diwali etc. The various cultural events at HLM made students feel warm and at home. Apart from that, fests and events were a regular occurrence in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
MBA at HLM is very feasible. My fees structure of the course for the first year was 1.15 lakhs and for the second year it was 1 lakh. This included just the tuition fees and the allied courses.
Campus Life
I was the president of the photography club and I must say it was one of the highlights of my journey. We did photo walks and featured the pictures on the college annual magazines. Our college was very supportive of extra curricular activities and encourages more and more students to explore their hidden talents.
Admission
Admissions for HLM requires a valid score of any entrance exam and graduation marks. I appeared for CMAT and scored 130 and my graduation marks were 55%. The procedure is very simple and the final decision happens after an SOP based interview.
Faculty
I had the pleasure of studying under amazing professors who had years of teaching experience as well as corporate exposure. They used real life examples and case studies while teaching theoretical concepts for better understanding.
