Remarks

I only attended this college because of how they accepted students without an entrance exam. They were very eager and sweet when I first got in but after l joined the college that all turned out to be pretentious and I am very disappointed. They were very rude especially admin staff, even to parents, and cared very little about a student's welfare and medical conditions. They charge a lot of fees even for online examination and they love making students get backlog on purpose despite reputed medical reasons. I feel like I wasted three years here even though i found amazing friends and college overall experience was really bad and my particular combination made students suffer a lot, from unfair grades to ignorance of students' mental health despite being acclaimed that the college cares. Many students from my batch had suffered and honestly, it wasn't worth it till the very end. You'll know when you join but I won't suggest it to anyone.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

I chose this course because the subjects were of interest. I only liked a few and a lot of the teachers were overly strict and disrespectful. There is no clear communication with the happenings inside the college and students are held like cattle inside the college just because the gatekeepers were instructed to not let anyone out. Some teaching staffs were really good although the classic method of teaching was still undergoing 90% of the classes. Exams were unnecessarily hectic and online examination was chaos and a sum of thousand rupees were charged despite the pandemic which is really infuriating.

Placement Experience

0.5

There were no placements give for BA students except some 2-3 girls which sucked as we were not informed properly. The placement cell is ruled by our sociology teacher and it was such a bad excuse for a placement cell. The college made me lose sight of my plans.

Fees and Financial Aid

My original fee when I entered 1st year was somewhere around 30k initially it got increased along with a lot of free. Course fees keep increasing every year and they keep making unnecessary renovations and there was never a day in my Three years of academics where there were no construction sounds. It was really disturbing and bad. When I requested a concession fee as they promised they did not even respond and we were pressured to pay money for the online examination which should be free in the first place.

Campus Life

0.5

There were a lot of fests and functions but our college had strict attendance rules that made sure that we couldn't even enjoy any of the fests on our own preference. They made absurd rules and would punish those who wanted to watch the fests if they didn't receive their permission which they won't grant in the first place. Even for our sports fest, they didn't allow any spectators or cheers for classes which shocked us. Really unreasonably strict catholic system. Those in favor of the sisters got a free pass.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
