Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for B.Com is very concise and comprehensive. Since it is a three year long course, the subjects are divided evenly over 6 semesters. I had good subjects like Cost Accounting, Financial Accounting, Audit, Business Economics etc.
Placement Experience
There aren't a lot of placement opportunities but slowly St. Andrews College is coming up with a placement cell to take care of such things. Although, you can apply to be a teacher in the college itself.
College Events
A lot of events like Annual Fest, Freshers', Farewell are held for each batch. Apart from that workshops and guest lectures also happen where people from good institutions come and give lectures.
Fee Structure And Facilities
St. Andrews College is very feasible and is accessible to a large population. I paid 2400 for one year so approximately I paid 5200 for my entire course. This included only the academics fees. We had an option of paying the fees semester wise too.
Campus Life
There were a lot of co curricular activities that were promoted in our college. We had dance groups, music groups as well as various sports teams. Our college introduced inter department and intra department competitions to encourage students to participate.
Admission
St. Andrews College has its own entrance exam. It is a fairly easy paper that has the syllabus of 12th standard. Once the exam is done, a merit list is prepared and once you meet the cut-off you're given admission.
Faculty
The faculty of our college is very good. They are extremely helpful and enthusiastic. They teach with a lot of conviction and zeal. They give proper notes and reference books that help us a lot during exams. They also monitor our progress through regular tests.
