My college experience

The College has few faculty members with good subject knowledge. On cannot expect good lab facilities and equipments. The campus placement is almost nil.

I took CET entrance exam.My ranking was 23713. I was were passionate and interested about electronics. So i decided to take electronics and communication branch in engineering. As the college was near to my home i decided to opt for this particular college.

Although there are elective subjects in 6, 7, 8th semester students cannot decide the subjects. The decision is taken by HOD about which subject is chosen and they dont even take students opinion.The Lab facility is very bad.I n 7th sem we had VLSI lab where the college was unable to provide the necessary software till the end of semester. The equipments are old and faulty.

The college does not provide internship facility for students.

Although we are from EC branch none of the core companies have visited for campus interview. Only few companies for BPO and Tech Support have visited for campus recruitment. The placement is almost nil Only 10% of about 180 students are placed.

Vibez is the major event which goes every year.It is the college day which is held for 3 days. Various competitions are conducted like technical, cultural, indoor, outdoor games etc. Also there will be fashion show and DJs. EC day is also conducted every year which is department activity. It is most like send off party for seniors.

For CET students fees is Rs.51490 every year for four years. You have to pay Rs.560 as exam fees each semester.Rs.170 for records. Almost Rs.600 for vibez & Rs.400 for ec day every year.

The college provides government scholarship for less income students. Students have to fill the online form and submit the necessary documents to the college for approval. The status of scholarship is provided online.College gives support if the student wants to take education loan from bank.

Generally No. of Females are more than Males. Cultural activities are carried on various festival occasions. Extracurricular activities are limited only to few. Sports activites are carried only during college day and there is no physical trainer. The College conducts various activites and workshops on various topics according to department.

As i dont stay in hostel i cant comment on it. According to my friends the hostels are not neat. The food quality is worst. They provide very limited quantity of food.The rooms are old and not properly maintained.You can even see bed bugs in every room.Th

College seniors were decent and no ragging was found. They helped us in various activities by providing support. They even conducted workshop to help the juniors.

The time table for exams is announced by vtu were sufficient gap between exams are provided. Exam pattern is vtu. 25 marks internals lab & theory. 50 marks lab external100 marks theory external.

The faculty's are good and have subject knowledge. But few Faculties dont even know about the subject they teach.
