Very good college with good faculty and lots of exposure in the medical field due to good hospital review and response. The college offers n number of courses and covers as much of the medical profession as possible.
Course Curriculum Overview
MBBS is very hectic. There are nine semesters. The exams are in subjective structure followed by practical exams. The course duration is 4 and a half years which includes classroom based learning followed by 1 year of mandatory hospital posting.
Placement Experience
There is compulsory internship for one year after completing MBBS program (in all medical colleges) wherein students are posted in all the department's for variable duration for practical experience. The stipend is around 20,000 per month as an intern.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible. Each student has to pay about 40,000 per semester. The fee is deduced to almost half of what the general category student pays, for the reserved category students. As pg students, the doctors get a stipend instead.
Campus Life
There are several events organized by the Goa university for all colleges that come under it. It includes football, basketball, cricket, swimming, table tennis, badminton, etc. There are also annual gatherings, dances, dinners, plays, etc.
Hostel Facilities
There is a separate hostel for both boys and girls with good facilities and fully furnished rooms. The bathrooms are clean and there is a cleaning staff appointed to the rooms and the hostel on a daily basis.
Admission
For MBBS program under Allied Health Sciences, candidates must have passed HSC in PCB and English with minimum of 50% aggregate. Selection to MBBS course is done on the basis of NEET UG conducted by CBSE.
Faculty
The doctors of the hospital from each department have been appointed as our faculty members in order to give us detailed education regarding the medical science. During clinical training and postings, the training happens in hospitals itself.
