Akshay Mukherjee's Review On ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education - [IFHE], Hyderabad

College management is very strict regarding women safety. Girls from UG courses had to get special permission from hostel incharge with consent from there parents to go out of the campus. Even boys were not allowed to go outside the campus before classes were over.

I gave the AIEEE exam. I don't remember how much i scored but i got a rank of under 1.2 lacs. I chose this college because i wanted to study mechanical engineering and i was not getting that stream in many other colleges.

Course curriculum is very standard for Mechanical Engineering. Some of the electives being Principles of Entrepreneurship,Technical Report writing which stressed upon the practical industrial and market knowledge.

Internships were more about enjoying than any actual work as we were not offered any stipend. We had two internships over the course of 4 years. One was for a period of 2 months after the completion of 1st year at an NGO and the other one was a technical project for a period of 5 and half mothns in the final semester.

Being a mech engineer the placement scenario is pretty bad. But if any one belongs to the IT sector they can expect good offers.

There were many technical as well as cultural events throughout the 4 years of the course. Sorry I can't remember any names but overall experience was very good.

Fee structure was moderate to expensive compared to other deemed universities. We paid 80000 per sem as tuition fees and 27000 for hostel and mess charges. We had 8 semester in total.

Campus life was very enjoyable. We had many parties,events,sports meets. People from various religions lived happily. No issues with sexual orientation or gender equality. No political influence people from different economic statuses were there.

Facilities were quite decent. Fully wifi enabled campus. Washing machines on every floor. Two washrooms having in total 6 bathing areas and 6 lavatories. Food was pretty decent with excellent hygiene maintained throughout the mess. We also had monthly food festivals which served high quality different indian cuisines.

Seniors were very good and supportive and so helpful.

Exam structure was very good which aimed on minimizing pressure on the students. We had monthly tests which contributed 60% of the semester grades and one final exam which had 40% weightage. Lab exams were conducted bi-monthly every semester.

Faculty was pretty average. The standards could have been better.
