Remarks

Banaras Hindu University is one of the top universities of India. It has special research opportunities for both ug and pg students. The teachers focus on both practical and theoretical knowledge of the students. The examination patterns and teaching patterns are up to the mark and yearly updated to new technologies. The admission criteria is entrance based. UET and PET is conducted for ug and pg students respectively. I preferred this college over others because being a science student, it has the apt research and scientific approach to the topics.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose bsc honors chemistry because it has great scope in India and abroad. India being a developing country, needs more and more researchers and inventors who can help it to grow technically. Faculty to student ratio is around 1:40 that enables them to take care of and personally groom every student. The faculty is highly educated. All of them mostly being phd gold medalist and great scorers. The exams are conducted twice a semester, mid term and end term, each exam containing separate practical and theory exams of each subject.

Placement Experience

3.5

After final year students become eligible for placements. However, the university generally promotes the students to go for post graduation and research as it will add a feather on their caps and would help them earn more.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, the fees is quite affordable, around 4000 /year for college and around same for hostel. You only have to pay for mess monthly. 100/day , collectively taken at the end of the month +?200 (maintenance) Students also get scholarships based on certain criteria like if you're highly meritorious or if you cannot afford the fees.

Campus Life

5

There are many fests conducted. You can find a fest conducted almost every month in the campus by some or the other faculty. All the festivals are celebrated with so much vibrance and love and fun irrespective of the region and religion. The libraries are very very helpful. Every department has its own library and there is a central library available to all. They have all sorts of books of latest and recommended editions, magazines, newspapers, research papers. The classrooms are fine. They're well ventilated and continuous benches for long lectures. The sports and extra curricular activities are highly promoted. The campus has its own swimming pool, classical dance classes, drama classes, all sort of sports available for both girls and boys. They have different coaches for all the sports and many large grounds including an amphitheatre. Every field has its own club or society.

Hostel Facilities

4

The rooms for first year is quite spacious. From second year onwards it's little conjusted but can be a super cosy place if u arrange it well. The menu of the mess is different for each day. They serve non-veg on Sundays. The meal served is superb and affordable. When you attend your counselling you have to mention if you need hostel or not. If you do so, then only you'll be considered while allotment. The allotment is done on the basis of merit and distance of home from college and no quota is applied on hostel admission. Campus hostel is the best option, if you get it, you must take it. Otherwise you can go for hostels and pgs outside the campus. There are many in Lanka , sankatmochan and near trauma house ranging from 3000-10000/month. I

Course Curriculum Overview:

According to me you should choose Brahmanand College but as I wanted more practicals then theory work but it is not like that here because you get more time to study and practicals were less .Exams' timings were sometimes morning, afternoon so you will have to manage yourself accordingly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'd rate the curriculum 4/5. Topics like programing and data structures are super relevant.it prepares us for tech roles, but could include more hands on projects and industry tools. More focus on emerging tech like Ai /ML would be awesome. Exams are semester wise and okay.areas for improvement: internships, coding challenges, and guest lectures from pros. Solid foundation overall !

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the faculty teachers and all the staff was very good and the faculty teachers of the science were very fabulous in education causes me to choose this course... The curriculum here was in terms of social interaction was ok but it was not that good for the future real world academic pursuits as their were not that much activities for the social appearance... In terms of course curriculum and teaching method this college doesn't need much improvements because it is much better according to teaching method , as the teachers were good in terms of teaching... The timing and frequency was having much gap between one semester exam and the other semester exam , so there were not much difficulty in giving exams according to my perspective...
