Entrance Preview

I took PGCET exam for this course conducted by Karnataka GOVT. I got 1307 th Rank in this exam. Computer science was my first choice, but I missed out BE, so I opted for MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview

MCA course under VTU Belaguam is having all updated syllabus for all technical subjects and this University is one of the best and quality education providing institutions. This course is having 6 semesters for 3 years. This course will provide great knowledge on IT profession.

Internships Opportunities

There are no internship programms were available during that time, but now they started some internship programmes for students of JCE and they will provide great view on professional education and corporate world.

Placement Experience

There some startup companies were visited and package was on average 2LPA. I remember few companies namely Unikaihatsu Pvt Ltd, Some ERP based companies. But after us, for 2015 batch Infosys Ltd, TCS Visited.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college is under the government norms and used to give scholarships. This was based on the merit of students in the previous academic line. Government used to support such students for better education.

We were the pioneer batch for MCA, so we became pioneer members of our college alumini and our college is going to have extraordinary alumni for upcoming years.

Faculty

Since our batch was pioneer batch for MCA in our college, we had new faculties, it was great learning expereice for us and our faculties were always supportive for us and our college was the top MCA college for Belgaum region for VTU.

the curriculum is practical up to date and the assignments are project based that encourages better understanding. the assignments are also real world based that require ,the students, to undestand the subjects better. there are 3 internal test with lab tests include that test the student's knowledge in the subject

Placement stats are pretty good, offers above 50LPA have also been granted to students, but they are not as common. With a good cgpa, 5+ LPA can be ensured. Students from 6th sem become eligible for placements, companies such as TI, Apple, Daimler Trucks etc have come for placements
