College review of Gondwana University - [GU]

The college management is pretty good. Teaching is very good, infrastructure is well maintained. It is well disciplined and regulatory too. It has done a noteworthy job and can be recommended to people.

The course curriculum is curated by keeping the technicalities of the subjects in mind. The University follows a semester wise system of examination for the course. There are a total of 6 semesters in the entire course and the examinations take place once every semester.

In terms of placement, I can say that it is alright. The university organizes a job fair every year but the companies coming for campus selection do not offer a good package. Hence, our students mostly choose to get jobs and internships for themselves. Although, the training and guidance are given for placements to the students.

The fees of the university is feasible. For the entire course duration you have to pay around 70,00-80,000 INR. The fee has to be paid at the beginning of each academic year. The semester wise system of fee submission is not followed in university.

Along with studies, the college is also in favour of extra curricular activities and provides the students with sports, NSS, Computer lab, library which are all looked after well. There is also an annual fest and other festivals are celebrated too.

The university has hostel facilities for their students. The hostels are available for both boys and girls. The hostel wing is different for both boys and girls and there is a hostel warden in each wing to take care of the students. The hostel has basic amenities such as a common bathroom, double sharing rooms, meals 3 times a day for the students.

The alumni of the college are notable people. The university proudly calls upon its alumni to come and conduct workshops and seminars with the students of the college and share their experience. The seniors are quite nice and friendly and look after the juniors.

The eligibility criteria to gain admission in the college is minimum passing marks in the science stream from a recognized University. Admission is primarily on the basis of merit in for undergraduate. The University has an offline as well as an online application form. However, for the offline mode, students are required to take a printout of application form which is to be submitted in the university.

The faculty in our college is well-trained in their area of expertise. The professors are always approachable for the students of the college. The teaching is executed very well and laid out sufficiently to prepare the students for the future.
