Remarks
College is good and rapidly progressing, in the last two year we have complete renovation of our campus. Our labs are improved, classes are now at high standard. We have separate database center. Roads and passages are good. Hostels are also under renovation. Our college is working at rapid pace.
Entrance Preview
I cleared IIT JEE, BITSAT but could not score enough to get a seat in any of these, so through JEE MAINS I opted NIT RAIPUR
Internships Opportunities
Being a 4th semester undergraduate I am not aware of all these details, but as far as I know getting internship through college is much more difficult than personal application. Convert ratio of internship is very less and few companies visit our campus. I do not have much idea about the stipend offer to interns.
Placement Experience
Well placements and job opportunities are fair. Companies from various sector visit our campus like IT/Technology, Consulting, Core, Analytics, Research and development, PSUs. A student has in an average 8 chance to get a job which is quite helpful in securing a job. 60-70 % of the batch is placed each year. Some of the companies which visit our campus are Drishti Software, Analytics Quotient, Mu-Sigma, ZS Associates, L&T, GreyB Research, DRDO. Average salary of the entire batch is 4-5 lakh per annum.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Our senior batch has 38k yearly fees and from our batch it is doubled to 75k, fee is affordable. Actually these fees are used in the development of the infrastructure of college. I am satisfied with the fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are provided to SC/ST and OBC's. I have not availed any such scholarship so don't have much idea about it.
Campus Life
Gender ration would be roughly 1 girl : 5 boy, we have lots of workshop in our campus of robotics, internet of things, ethical hacking, entrepreneurship etc. We have around 10 clubs and 5-6 committees of different field. There is no such discrimination on race, religion. No political activity in campus
Hostel Facilities
We have inadequate hostel seats and hence hostel is alloted in merit basis. We have to share rooms with others. Hostel rooms are spacious, clean. PG is near to our college and many of our friend live there. PG costs around 3k per month to each candidate.
Alumni/Alumna
We have strong alumni network and our seniors are also in every field be it management, civil services, engineering. Although we have huge database of alumni in engineering background at reputed position.
Exam Structure
We have monthly class test, and then we have end semester practical and theory exams. Labs are almost daily, completing lab record is a bit hectic task.
Faculty
We have roughly 20 faculty in Electrical Engineering department of which 11 of them hold PhD degree and all have at least M.Tech degree. Quality of teaching is nice, classroom teaching is interactive we are taught along with projector to make the learning easy and practical. Almost daily we have practicals, the experiments are closely linked with the curriculum taught in class. We have tutorial classes in which we were made to solve problems, and have quiz.
