Loved the freedom

Loved the place. Have some minor complaints too, but they are overcome with so many good things I experienced here and the amazing memories I have of here

IIT JEE Rank 677, Loved the city. The counselling was quite interesting where all students were sitting for the professors to individually dole out gyaan on the courses. Though I dont think it was very helpful

Great. We had so many electives. Especially from humanities and social sciences. In my fourth year, besides my project, I did not have a single Electrical course

McKinsey. BCG. ITC. Deutsche Bank. I would say a gamut of Investment banks, top consultancies, FMCG companies, software firms, core companies and what not. The payment was the best in the industry

Quite good. In fact one of the best in the country. From Google to Amazon to I banks and consultancies as well as the best core companies were there and all paid according to their industry standards.

We used to pay around 18000 per semester. That included college and mess fees. However for extra mess, we had to pay extra, based on coupons. There was almost no other extra expense, besides eating out which often included the cheap and tasty paranthas at Sassi dhaba

The education loan was easily available. However, I don't think a lot of students used this facility. An alumni group sponsored interest free loan for students. However most students made use of Merit cum Means scholarship

Amazing campus life. Gamut of extra-curricular activities from debates, dramatics, music, dancing to quizzes, guest lectures, modelling, dancing events, dinner events and what not. We had college events, inter college events, inter-hostel events and dinners with professors as well.

Hostel facilites were just good enough. Could be much better. Food below average. In fact after a year at IIM Lucknow when I stayed for a few days as guest in our IIT hostel, I could not eat the food, how revolting it seemed.

Alumni network is just great. 1000s ofalumni who are connected through a decent group and annual alumni event, some side-events and as an alumnus living close by, I am more often than not a part of the events. Have conected to some senior alumni through this group

Very chill. Most days we had one or two papers. Invigiators were our professors. Some departments were very strict while some, especially civil were too chill. Some professors totally allowed cheating.

Some excellent. Some OK. Others not upto expectations. However, there is no point blaming anyone because the state of teaching in India, and many countries is bad. The remuneration often holds the best from entering the field.
