Remarks
Mayo Institute of Medical Sciences is one of the best institutes to study from. The academics are great here and the facilitates are very supportive in any difficulties regarding curriculum. Also, the library was very good as it contained almost every book a student need.
Course Curriculum Overview
A student who takes a bachelor of science as a course, studies subjects like mathematics, geography, botany, zoology in three years. The exams are taken twice a year including the internals for each subject. For more evaluation, the faculty took viva a presentation of elective subjects.
Placement Experience
The job and placements opportunities at Mayo Institute of Medical Sciences were very rare as the industry preferred the master's degree candidates the students after completing the under-graduate degree took admission in post-graduate degree.
Fee Structure And Facilities
At the institute, 2,88,000 were the fees of a student who opt for a bachelor of science. There are options for paying the fees online and on the campus premises as well. The fee structure was quite moderate between feasible and expensive.
Campus Life
The Student ratio was equal at the institute, therefore, there was much unity in organizing events like youth festivals, musical parties, seminars, awareness camps, and celebration of national festivals and also the Saraswati puja. All the students participated in their relevant fields of interest.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel buildings were separate for boys and girls as two buildings were given to girls and the remaining two for boys. The facilities for the hostel students were quite appropriate and the students preferred hostel over other options like pg rooms. In one room there were only two students.
Alumni/Alumna
As per my knowledge, the alumni network was not much but the institute has good senior students. They were very helpful and supportive as the hostel students had much unity and they believed unity in diversity.
Admission
After completing higher secondary education, I applied to BACHELOR OF SCIENCE at the institute by filling the application form as the criteria were minimum. I choose this institute for a bachelor of science as the academic environment is great and I easily got admission here in the first round of merit.
Faculty
The faculty was good. They provided extensive knowledge by examples and gave us a different type of numerical to solve after which they explained the correct method to solve it. Also, faculties provided with materials for preparation for exams which was very useful to score well in final exams.
