Entrance Preview
GATE AIR 21. Design aptitude test was followed by a rigorous interview with questions on design and aesthetics on one hand and engineering on the other.
Course Curriculum Overview
There can be 12 core courses and 4 elective courses (which can be chosen from any department). A major project is undertaken by a group of two students in the last semester to produce a working prototype.
Internships Opportunities
Many major company like TATA, Mahindra, Bosch, Airbus, GM, GE came for placements and internships. People get around 20-25k for internships. They can also intern in any of the research projects in IISc.

CPDM, IISc has an enviable placement track record for its almunus is all over the world in many major companies. Facebook, Google, Sony, Airbus, GM, GE, Tata, Mahindra, L&T etc.
College Events
Sangam: Fresher's Welcome program Spectrum: IISc Gymkhana Festival Pravega: Cultural Fest, Many other programs and concerts all round the year. A lot of educational talks are organised in popular science series.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is quite modest. Actually it's one of the lowest in India for such a world class Institute. Moreover, scholarships and stipends are given to GATE, NET, JRF, CSIR scholars.

All Government scholarships are available to IISc students. E.g. GATE, JRF, NET, CSIR, DBT, DST etc.
Campus Life
The campus life is quite chilled out. Gymkhana has all sports facilities, though not of very high quality. Lot of canteens are also there, where you can relax after classes.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels facilities are pretty good. While mess food are more on the average side. Room Rent is around 1200 which is quite low and Mess fee is around 3000 rupees.
Alumni/Alumna
A very well established Almuni network is existing in IISc. A seperate office for almuni cell is provided. Most of the Almunus are well established and highly placed in hierarchy.
Exam Structure
Exams are quite frequent and highly competitive. Small quizzes also take place. But, overall the lifestyle is pretty chilled out, If one works sincerely and on time.
Faculty
World class faculty with high academic and professional credentials. A lot of design and research publications. All the faculty carry out research in addition to teaching, which makes them pretty good and valued.
