College is good in infrastructure, food ambience and studies for few branches. Though administrative faculty is strict and Branches like EC are not up to the mark.
Entrance Preview
I took AIEEE Exam in the year 2011. Scored 307 Marks and got an All India Rank of 8821 and got electrical Engineering in third round of counselling.I choose SVNIT because of it being a government college and far away from home.
Internships Opportunities
I didnt applied for these. But my friends did. Our college offers summer internship for two months with accomodation and a stipend of 10000 per month.
College Events
Our College celebrates Mindbend a technical Fest which is largest in Gujrat and overs all technical events including robotics and stuff. This is a summer festIn the month of February SVNIT celebrates Sparsh a cultural event, involving singing dancing fashion and celebrity night. Also throughout the year there are events like Kashish and CHRD stuff
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is reasonable. Hostels and mess fees is also reasonable. It shall be around 50000 per semester. Exam fees would be additional. Around 2000 per year

There are several good scholarship programs for poor students and SC/ST students.You will get more information about them when you apply.
Campus Life
Gender ratio: 5:1 boys to girls. Hostel Parties: this actually doesnt depend on college. Depends on you. Workshops: Dont attend waste of money Cultural and Tech Socities: There are several for debating, drama, singing, robotics and technical.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are in good condition. After second you would get single rooms. Buildings and infrastructure matches the levelof any private college. Mess food is better than many govt. colleges.
Alumni/Alumna
On this front college lacks. Which should be a great alumni network for a NIT, it lacks seniors referring students for internships or job, also juniors don't ask seniors for stuff like that. Senior-Junior relationship in college is dependent on how you have potential for networking.
Exam Structure
It was completely chilled out experience. There will be a 30mark 1 hour midsem exam and 100 marks 3 hours end sem. Thats it, Practical exams are just formality. You need not study much for average pointers. And a good 15 days prep would help you get 9 pointer
Faculty
For Electrical and Mechanical I would rate the faculty 7/10. They knew the topics well.For EC its below 5, almost all people teaching for first 6 semesters are M Tech guys. Civil wont attract placementsCivil and Comps were average
