My MBA Experience

Common admission test for MBA Entrance for Haryana colleges as I wanted to become a management graduate.

Only a few companies came for internships and the stipend offered was very low. Most of the students preferred to go for internships in the companies with better learning opportunities than the higher stipend offering companies.

HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Indiabulls, ICICI Prudential and Asian paints came to campus. Packages were offered in the range of 2.00 lacs to 4.00 lacs. 6 students were placed with HDFC Bank, 10 with ICICI Bank, 8 with Indiabulls and 11 with ICICI prudential. Almost 50% of the batch got campus placement .

HR fest wherein HR Managers of 12 companies participated.Cultural fest was celebrated .Where in all the MBA colleges of Haryana participated Alumni meet was done with a strength of more tha 200 alumnus in the function.

Being a govt university, fee structures are quite feasible. At my time it was Rs.13000 for two years which was manageable. There was management quota also in the university which was relatively expensive. Fees under management quota was app. 1.25 lacs.

Students from minority/ reserved category are offered scholarships. Also, the topper in first year is offered a scholarship in the second year. I availed this scholarship as I was topper in first year .

Campus offers a variety of courses and students of all the streams share the campus. University is house to students from various states. There is an open environment in hostels prompting hostel parties etc.

Alumni are placed in good organisations but the alumni network is weak which needs an improvement. As they are the real strength of the campus. Their involvement in regular interactions with the students and placement process is not very commendable .

It was a semester system with every semester having 7-8 subjects. The last semester was having only 5 subjects as it was the placement semester. Exam time was generally hectic.

All the faculty members are highly qualified and are Either M Phil or PHD having specialised knowledge of their domain. Most of the teachers are permanent. Dean is selected on rotational basis for a term of three years. Teaching standards are good. Even adhoc teachers possess good knowledge.
