The course was pretty intensive and rigorous. In the first year, where your main focus will be on the core courses of economics. While in the second year, you?l be required to choose 7 optional and a Master thesis course. The competition is pretty intense in IGIDR.

Every program involves producing independent research work which helps us during the time of job placement where they invite big corporates and research institutions.IGDR has maintained a 100% record in placement. Many students of my program have been admitted into prestigious universities, for PhD programs, at Columbia University, the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and Carnegie Mellon University.

Various events and festivals were organised in our college. In my first year, we went for an annual picnic as well. Along with that festivities like Holi, Republic Day, Ganesh Chaturthi, Sports day are celebrated here.

The fees for my field of the subject was of ? 16,000/- per semester. The fees may be revised from time to time. According to me, this much amount was feasible enough for the exposure provided at national and international levels. Need-based scholarships were also available.

With the best infrastructural facility, you?l be equipped with a computer centre, an art library, gym, activity room, labs, hostel. Most of all you will feel comfortable here as the college would ensure that. The ratio of students-faculty is excellent at IGIDR.

As I was residing in the same locality, I didn? need to avail the hostel facilities. Though, I heard from my other batchmates and friends that it was really nice and clean, providing all the services.

We never had any ragging issues during my course of time. On the other hand, seniors of our college were always coming up with new events and were helping in every way. They would show their kind gestures by inviting us to all the festivities and activities.

Mine was a two-year programme. I joined the college directly after prior consultation with some personnel of the university. I already had a minimum qualification beforehand of B. Sc in Mathematics which made it easy for me to apply in this college.

The teachers were knowledgeable in order to make us understand the need and since our courses involved more analysis in-depth, it was a good experience too while studying with them. They were also welcoming in nature in solving any problems or concerns related to any matter.
