Course Curriculum Overview
There are different courses available in the Mangalore University, Centre of distance education. The courses have been divided into courses for the U.G and the courses for the P.G. The exams are conducted by the university at the end of each semester. Weekly and monthly assessments are also conducted in the department. These assessments help the students to overcome their final exam with practice no pressure.
Placement Experience
The Mangalore University, Center for Distance Education aims to train every student for their placement and job opportunities. The college has the facility of the placement cell, which is being run by a placement head of the college. There are placement coordinators available in every department to train the final year students for the placement rounds and interview. All these facilities encourage the students and they get placed in one of the top companies in the country.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college maintains and follows a feasible fee structure for all the departments. This fee structure is noted to the students well before they join the college. All the students under various departments find it very affordable to pay.
Campus Life
In the University, sports play an important role in the development of the personality of the youth. Sports and Physical activities are essential part of human resources development. These help every student to develop health, spirit of friendly competition, achievement, national pride and patriotism. Participation in University athletes in supporting competitions generates a spirit of healthy competition and helps improve their educational and professional competence for every student.
Alumni/Alumna
The university maintains an alumni forum known as the Mangala Alumni Association. This alumni forum was formed and started on 10 May 2007. All the alumni people from the University's affiliated colleges have come together and formed an association. This alumni forum is also been very valuable to every current and upcoming student. The people in the forum help and support the college at any time.
Admission
Applications to the Mangalore University, Center for Distance Education from eligible candidates are invited in offline mode and applicants can get the admission form from a designated office of Director/Co-ordinator by paying an amount of via bank challan or DD. To be eligible for UG programs candidates should have passed 2-year PUC or 3-year Diploma recognized by the University.
Faculty
All the department is been headed by a Head of the Department(HOD). There are many other staff members available under the HOD for the different subjects. All the staff members are recruited by the University considering their teaching capability and their graduate degrees. There are also teachers who have completed their PH.D. degree.
