Remarks
If you fail to make it yo IIM-B in Bangalore, and want to enjoy a similar city lifestyle, get into Christ. Offcourse, placements are no way near to IIM, but exposure wise Christ is no bad choice either.
Entrance Preview
I took CAT and MAT. Scored 74% in CAT and 99% in MAT. Couldn't manage to crack Welinker and a few others that I targeted. At the same time, Christ was a brand back then. Along with a degree, I got the exposure, which wasn't possible at any other place.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum was up to the mark however, I feel it could be more of practical than theory. Three hours of practical training teaches a lot more than 12 hours of class room education. All in all it was well in line with industry demand.
Internships Opportunities
You are lucky if you get a stipend in internship. It varies between 15000-25000 PM. I got internship in North India at HDFC. College had nothing to do with it.
Placement Experience
Deserving candidates get the job. Salaries vary from year to year, but most of those who want to get a job, get it by the end of the two years program.
College Events
Right from cultural workshops to national and international events, Christ is known for organizing the best and most sought after events in South India. These events not only give cultural exposure, but also corporate exposure as well. Best in the business.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My fees for two years was well under 6 lakhs. Feasible in all aspects. Additionally, students can opt for loan facility, so it's one of the affordable institutes in South India for students from all walks of life.
Fees and Financial Aid
I haven't availed. But it provides scholarship to those students who are deserving, but have financial issues to continue higher studies.
Campus Life
Christ has one of the best campuses in Bangalore. Once you spend a few days in the city campus, you will want to be here forever. Amazing infrastructure, biggest library in the state, high-end laboratories make things even better for students.
Hostel Facilities
There are two campuses: City Campus and Kengiri Campus. While the latter provides residential facility for both boys and girls, city campus has limited seats for girl students in the campus. However, I would suggest students to rent an accommodation nearby and live there. It's cheap and fun. The food in the campus is cheap, hygienic and diversified. Five out of five.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has a sound alumni network of over 10,000 students, it's growing at a fast pace. Students cannot only network with their seniors, but also get to know regarding any job opportunity in various companies where they are working.
Exam Structure
Trimester system + Class Room Participation. It judges every student on different parameters, something that's missing in most of the other institutes.
Faculty
Faculty was good. Most of them knew what they were teaching. It's all about how well a student can use his teacher. It has always been like this. Christ was no different. All those who sought for extra knowledge, found it. For others, it was a great college for fun.
