An Overview of My College Experience

The curriculum is similar to that being taught by colleges of Delhi University. The readings have been very skillfully written making it fairly easy for the students to understand the content. The duration of the course is 3 years and each year has been divided into 2 semesters each. The exam time is very busy and there is a lot of pressure on the students to score good marks.

The internship and placement opportunities for our course is limited. However, for other courses they are extremely good. Generally, students pursuing Psychology go for masters but in case a student does not wish to continue, a lot of jobs are available off campus for the students and they have an edge over the others owing to our college name.

The fees of our college is extremely affordable and is inclusive of tuition fees, administration fees, registration fees, etc. This is also one of the reasons why a lot of students are inclined towards the college since it provides a number of benefits in a fairly reasonable amount.

Students from all over India apply to our college for admission purpose since our college has 28 departments which is huge for any college in Jharkhand. The girls to boys ratio for Psychology course is high. The college infrastructure is well-maintained and a number of students from different colleges visit our college for its popularity.

I haven't opted for any Hostel Facility but our college has hostels for both girls and boys. There are only a few seats and therefore rooms are allotted on first come first basis. The hostel rooms as described by my friends are pretty spacious and are well-equipped with all the necessary home appliances.

I am currently pursuing B.A (Psychology) from Binod Bihari Mahato Koylanchal University, Jharkhand. Despite being a fairly newly established college, it has been able to make a mark for itself and after seeing its growing popularity and prospectus, I was sure that I wanted to get into this college. The admission process was trouble-free and candidates scoring the required marks in 10+2 in psychology as declared by the college website were given admission on first come first basis.

The faculty of our college is one of the best compared to any other college across Jharkhand. The teachers are very punctual when it comes to taking classes and we have regular seminars and workshops being organised by the faculty of Psychology Department so that students are able to understand the subject thoroughly.
