Best Engineering College in Town.

The min. total credits are 36 for 4 semesters spread across 5 years. too. In which you have to submit one review article and one project proposal (2 credits each) and a six-eight weeks project concerning rural/socials issues needs to be completed for thesis submission. The maximum duration of completion can extend to 6 years.

We have a separate placement cell in CIMFR which manages the interview process and invites companies. Though the job opportunities are not as such good. As the university is run by the government, they do not provide any kind of assurance.

University organises many workshops and guest lectures along with debates pertaining to various social and economic affairs. We have both indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Many festivals are organised and all the students and teachers participate actively in them.

The tuition fees per annum is 12000 INR for Ph.D program, adding to that students have to submit their thesis project which costs around 5000 INR. For non-residents, hostel and lodging charges shall be as applicable.

Many events and tests are organised in our college like, National Workshop on Tunnel Engineering,National Conference on Advances in Mining, National Seminar on Rock Blasting Techniques,Seminar on Technological Advancement and Emerging Mining Methods etc.

There is not much big network I have but still there is no such ragging issues or anything in our college, at least not yet. We interact without seniors in college events and cultural fest. Till now they have been quite helpful.

As I intended to pursue a career in mining engineering, this college was both flexible and affordable for me. To get admitted, you need to score at least 7.0 CGPA in its qualifying degree and give GATE/ NET entrance exam. The final selection will be based on the aptitude test/ interview.

The faculty is nice, warm and welcoming. They have great knowledge in their field of a subject which makes learning fun as they come up with new activities. They are well-mannered and their teaching style is also very encouraging.
