Course Curriculum Overview
This is a diploma course which focuses mainly on the theory and the practice of making the students an experienced and diverse baker and confectioner. In the time that I have currently been here, I have come to adjust to the demands of the college which are not much hectic.
Placement Experience
If you are able to qualify the course with good grades, then you will be able to find placement opportunities from the college in good sectors of the hospitality industry. You can choose your own field or niche and the college will help you get proper placements based on that.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fee for the one and a half year course of diploma in bakery and confectionery is Rs. 64, 000. There is no application fee and you just have to pay the course fee which is a very feasible option.
Campus Life
There are many activities that we are a part of and hope to be a part of for the remaining time in the college. This keeps us all fresh from the tiresome pressure of studying all day long. All students look forward to these activities such as sports or cultural events.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fee which includes the mess charges are Rs. 30,000 for the whole duration. Students who avail this facility will have to pay the fee during the admission itself. The rooms are very clean and well equipped as per the needs of the students. The basic necessities are present and there is a proper security given in the hostels.
Admission
I always had an interest in baking and I found my match in Indian Culinary Institute which is why I opted for the one and a half year diploma course of bakery and confectionery. I got in through an entrance test which was moderately hard but I was able to go through it with a clear mind and confidence.
Faculty
The faculties are high end professionals who are either working in a renowned organization or have a business of their own. They teach us about the different secrets of being a true professional in the field and also helps us find our niche.
