If you want to get placed in reputed hotels the college is for you. Along with this to enjoy the college life, different technical and cultural events the college is best for this. Undoubtedly.. I spent the most amazing 3 years of my life in State institute of hotel management (IHM).
Course Curriculum Overview
The course duration is 3 years. I enjoyed all these three years of life in IHM due to the best campus environment with full of facilities. The college focuses on practical oriented teaching hence about 3-4 practicals were conducted by the college daily. The final exam was also depend upon the practical exam and then theoretical exam. So in short here I got all the practical knowledge beneficial for my future.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunities were also best. Almost 90% students from our branch selected in different respected hotels and well known food suppliers like KFC and Burger king. I have also placed in KFC in my last year placement drive. Placement cell working continuously for the more and more placements. I think this is the best Institute for placement.
College Events
All the cultural and technical events celebrated in the college by both the faculty and students enthusiastically. Freshers party, traditional , Western days, annual functions, different festivals were celebrated beautifully by the students in the college. College also focused on technical events too. Recipe competitions were also conducted by the college to improve students skills.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees was also not too expensive in IHM. the fees structure was also similar to other Institutes inspite of it was an autonomous body. About 45000 fee was taken by the college for each semester. Different scholarship schemes were also available for the category basis and for the talented students too.
Campus Life
Along with cultural activities college focus on technical events &workshops. Various competitions and workshops conducted by the college for the students improvement. Sports week was also arranged by the students to improve the sports skill and fitness of the students. In short in every point of view college is the best.
Admission
State institute of hotel management (IHM) is an autonomous body under the Department of Tourism of the Government of Haryana. It is one of the prestigious Institute for hotel management in haryana. The admission process is depend upon the marks of 12th and NNCHMCT JEE score. If you have valid score in both the exams you are easily appear for the B. Sc. In Hospitality and Hotel Management. I have secured good marks in both the examinations so I got the admission in IHM in first round.
Faculty
Faculty of the college was just fabulous. They were highly educated and had a lot of experience. I remember, our principal had about 30-31 years of experience. I was shocked after listing this. Other faculty also had a great knowledge in hotel management. Our batch got all the practical Hotelling experience from them and now we realized it was too beneficial for us.
