Course Curriculum Overview
The duration of the course was 2 years. And each year consist of 2 semester. The end semester exam was of 70 marks and 30 marks internal examination was conducted by the college. I secured about 70-75 marks in each semester so I was one of the best student of the Institute. The Institute has a large computer lab with wifi facility and 18-20 laboratories for the research purpose. I remembered there was a chemical store is also present in the college for the distribution of the chemicals and required glassware.
Placement Experience
College provided internship to each student in our batch in different medical stores, pharmaceutical companies and hospitals too. It helped me a lot to gain the practical knowledge throughout my M. Pharmacy. The college placement cell also work continuously for the 100% placements of the students. About 90% students from my batch placed in different pharmaceutical companies and hospital and rest of other selected the further studies.
College Events
Technical events were the main agenda of the college. College organized different technical events such as pharma quiz and research competitions to improve the knowledge of the students. Along with the technical activities college organized a big cultural event every year. The Western day, traditional day are celebrated by the students in this cultural event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is approved by the fees fixation committee. The college fees was about 225000 per year. The installation option was available for the students. As students placed in reputed companies with 8 to 10lakhs package so the fee was very less as compared to it.
Campus Life
To Provide exposure to recent happenings in pharmaceutical industry the educational tour was arranged every year. I visited to the serum Institute of India in my last year of M. Pharmacy. Along with this college organized different seminars on the advancements in pharmaceutical field. Various guest lectures to gain the knowledge of the students. And different workshops to create the interest of the students in research and innovation.
Admission
The admissions of the M. Pharmacy in AISSMS college of pharmacy depend on the basis of Graduates Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) score conducted by All India Council for Technical Education, New Dehli. I scored good marks in this examination but still in the first CAP round I didn't get the college.But, finally in the second CAP round my name is listed and I got the admissions in this college.
Faculty
The faculty of the college was very talented and supportive. The college focused on research oriented teaching so all the faculty always available for the students to innovate new ideas and researches. The principal of college Dr. Ashwini Madgulkar was very supportive and always available for us to clear our doubt. She encouraged me a lot for the final year project, so I succeeded in it. Overall faculty also had great knowledge about their field and they always help students in pleasant way.
