I opted for field assistant. The syllabus has a combination of interrelated topics which give knowledge on different topics. The course curriculum focuses on research also. Sometimes research makes us feel tired but we enjoy doing that because research makes us to learn much about a particular topic.

The college always step forward to offer the best placements to the students. The students make a college proud by getting selected and top most companies of India and abroad. Every year best companies look for the best students of Indian Institute of soil Science. Indian Institute of Science Science students comes out with flying colours with immense knowledge.

Even though it is one of the best institutes of India the fee structure is not too expensive for the students. Students can take fee on installment basis also. Many students are also provided with scholarship based on their merits. The free is affordable by many students. Every year there is an increment and decrement in the fee structure. The details of the fees could be known either during the admission time in the college campus or from the college website.

The college conducts various extra curricular activities on various occasions. Such as sports day NSS day NCC day milk and many more. They talk about the importance of camel milk on world milk day. Also conducted a seminar on the topic wonder varieties of sugarcane. They also conducted annual crops meeting about different crops. The college conducts activities and seminars and also difference is which are interesting and an eye open session for most of the students.

Field Assistant and the eligibility criteria for that is Graduates in agriculture/ horticulture/ botany or any other related discipline and Score in NET/GATE exam (for SRF and RA), performance in interview and/or written test. Applications forms for JRF/SRF/RA positions can be obtained from the institute or downloaded from the website www.iiss.nic.in. Candidates must carry the following documents for the interview:- 4 sets of complete bio-data, Originals and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, date of birth proof, qualification, experience and caste certificates, Self-attested photographs.

The faculties of our college is really hard working and they have immense patience and knowledge. They always step forward in learning new ways and ideas and are always flexible to adapt to different situations. They are always supported by our college principal who is adaptive and helpful. He always understands the problem of the teachers and the students and ready in all the ways to provide the solutions.
