NUALS is an average college which is below to the top NLUs in many ways but also above many NLUs an private law schools. Mooting and debating culture is there. But no sports culture. Yes there are sports but the college do not support to better it.
Entrance Preview
Cleared CLAT 2015 exam and got 82.25 marks with rank of 1680 and got admission in NUALS threw vacant seats. No interview simple admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is a National Law University (NLU). One of the best law school of India. It provides 5 year BA. LLB course with 10 semester in total. In every sem 6 subjects are there. After every semester one has to do at least 3 weeks internship which can be done under NGO, a law firm, lawyer, Judge, a company or any place relating to law.
Internships Opportunities
Internship stipend depends on the place where you are interning. In NUALS there is no internship cell to provide you internship. You have to arrange it on your own. It is easy to arrange a internship.
Placement Experience
Many companies hire lawyers from NUALS. Like ICICI, Amarchand Mangaldas, Trilegal, and many others. Package depends on you and the hiring company but can go upto 17 lakhs p.a.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Yes it is a bit expensive. 1,50,000 for college approx. 51,000 for mess and hostel. And your daily expenses depends on your luxury living. And you can assume 10,000 more for exam fees, participation fees and other stuffs.
Fees and Financial Aid
No loan facility offered by college but you can arrange on your own. Yes some minority scholarships are there for OBCs SCs STs.
Campus Life
Campus life is good. Campus is not so big but on other hand not so small also. Many extracurricular activities goes on. Yes it lacks sport facilities. Gender ratio is equal. But more than 50% are from Kerala itself. No religious inequalities. No political environment.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are really good. If you will ask them for help, they will definitely not deny you. Every type of seniors are there like some who are good in studies, some in sports, some in moots, some in debates.
Exam Structure
Exams pattern is really good in NUALS. You have to work hard to fail a subject in NUALS. %) marks for internal and 50 marks for external. Internal marks include a 15 mark test paper, 5 marks for attendance, 5 for class participation, 5 for discipline, remaining for projects, viva, presentation etc.
Faculty
Some of the faculty member are really good, some are not so good, some are average. For understanding some of the teachers one have to learn malyalam. They speak English in Malayalam accent.
