Pros & Cons of being an Amitian

If you select a good stream which WILL have job opportunities in future, have money to spend, want to live your college life at it's very best like in movies I say, this college is for you.

No company come for the intenship. And you have to find yourself a company for it own your own. Stipend may or may not be paid depending on your skills. Approach and jugaad works here. My tip Do not just sit idle waiting for some company to come. Just be friends with someone who has approach in this field. That's the truth During your tenure, you have to report to your guide weekly. That will be reflected on your grades.

Placements & job opportunities are pretty good, only awful for Mech and Civil branch. We were told to sit in job interviews by IT companies just for the sake of getting placed. Doesn't matter the grade you got, atleast above 60%, you can get placed if you 're good with the facilities.

You will get ample opportunities to participate in a lot of activities. Like there is Sangathan, specifically conducted for sports competition annually and you can showcase your talent.And then there is fest, where every department conducts their specific events where you can participate or volunteer or both. Pretty awesome it is, many celebrities come during the fest.

Fees is very expensive. Only come to Amity if your parents can afford that. Almost a lakh per semester for B.tech. Rest you can check the latest fee structure on Amity's website,

Yes scholarships are provided. If youy scored above 88% in 12th boards, you'll get 50% off in fees in first year. If it's above 92% that's 100% off in first year.free. And also if you're top you batch, you'll get subsequent scholarships.Also there is scholarship if you come in low income group. Also there is scholarships for athletes.

Campus life is awesome, the best I would say. There are so many cool places to hang out with your friends and many eateries, Dominos, CCD, McD is opening too,but only vegetarian is served. There's separate gaming zone with bowling area. No ragging takes place here. Exploring Amity is like walking in a mall, no interaction with others, only with your group of friends. Everybody is well dressed,good crows comes here having their unique but awesome fashion sense and your personality will change completely for good after college,obviously.

Hostel is pretty expensive too. I was a day scholar, don't have much idea aboout it. But many of my friends who were hostellers in first year got fed up by the services, and opted for a PG rather which is near to Amity and were much more satisfied.

There is minimal interaction with seniors, coz of huge and crowded campus and also everybody is busy with their own life.Coz of no ragging there is no interaction b/w seniors & junors, that's the sad part.
