Remarks
My college offers three different degree courses like post graduate diploma, certificate craft course, and catering technology which has a skilled group of faculty to teach and give us valuable knowledge for different cuisine and section of the kitchen.One good thing about the college is that it also offers guest lecturers which are quite friendly and provide us with good quality training and management skills.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is really good the teachers are well trained and all the doubts are solved . I really have a good experience while working with the top class professionals . They guide us in the management works and how a task is to be done . There are 4 semesters in which first year we are taught basic management and kitchen skills and during the second year we are taught how to handle pressure while working and making food that impresses the customers.
Placement Experience
The placements of our batch was very good as they got placed in different hotels and cruise lines like cost and princess , P&O , The oberoi , ITC and many more. Presently , I got to know that last year Brand CAI got 100% placements who have a passion for these arts . My college have dedicated placement cells and that too in each stage to get placed in top notch hotels of the country.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The admission fees is 1000 for the first semester only. The tuition fees for the second and third semester is 75000 and examination fees is around 2000 rupees. The total comes to 80000 per semester and the mess charges are 30000 per semester including the hostel facilities.
Campus Life
Our college is really good in organizing events and inter college fests. This year our college has participated in 6 national competition and conferences in which our college came first in three competition and was the third runner up in the other competition. Every year a Gala buffet fest is also organised at the time of Christmas which help students to interact well. Sports meet such as table tennis , football , chess , swimming is also organised where the students can showcase their talent other than the culinary arts.
Hostel Facilities
The hotel is good and rooms are spacious moreover we have ultra modern kitchens and superior equipment .Each student working is given separate ranges for practice . The library room is also quite big and we can get any book at any time for gaining more information about the cuisines and culinary arts. The WiFi facility is just commendable and the lawn area outside the hostels is also quite good. The mess food is also quite good as different dishes are prepared from Monday to Sunday.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are really very helpful , any issue in any course they are ready to help us at any cost and provide valuable information to achieve our goals and dreams. They share their experiences with us which basically gives us more knowledge about what are the tastes of people and what they would prioritize when it comes to food.
Admission
You need to apply for the MBA process and the course that you want to choose moreover a person seeking admission should also hold a full time bachelors degree in hotel management, hospitality , BHM etc from a recognized university with upper age limit is 25 for general category students and 5 year age relaxation is given to sc/st/obc, After I had filled the form I was called on for a entrance test and after clearing that I was called for the document verification and granted admission. No interview is held as the admission is granted on the basis of the rank in the entrance test.
Faculty
The faculty that is provided to us are professionals from the hotel industry with years of experience. The teaching methods are more practical and the interaction from both the sides is really commendable. Talking about the ratio of faculty to students is 3:60 .Our teachers are always helpful they impart us with basic or applied knowledge and assist us in their learning process.
