The college is very strict about maintaining a peaceful and growing environment in the college and does not differentiate between their students. This makes a very comfortable place for students coming from any part of the world.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is completely focused on research and hence the practical work is very much. We spend most of our time in the field or in the labs completing the practical work for our thesis. There are also theory classes for the course as well.
Placement Experience
For the PhD program, there are no concrete placement programs, and students pursuing this course are already focused on either becoming researchers or professors in their area of expertise. However, for students who are searching for placement options there are placements cells in the college that helps out students with the same.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The course is is of a duration of three years and the fee has to be paid semester wise or even yearly if the student wants to. The total expense for the course is Rs. 1.63 lakhs. The first year fee is Rs. 63192, the second year Rs. 49788 and the third year is rs. 49788.
Campus Life
There are events for each department that are mostly celebrated by the college such as agriculture day, national fisheries day, independence day, republic day, etc. There are also cultural events and sports that occur in college.
Admission
There are certain steps for the application that the students have to complete before getting selected. The first and foremost thing is to be eligible for the course by having a masters degree with 6.5 CGPA. The applicant can then sit for the KVAFSu written test and get qualifying marks. The students should have also given their ICAR/NET/CSIR-SRF exam in the chosen field. Extra marks are given to students who have university medals or are involved in sports or cultural activities.
Faculty
The guides in our research course are very understanding and also supportive. They take the time out to understand the different issues that we might be facing in our research and also find out ways that could help us to make the work easy.
