Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Science is one of the best universities for nursing course. We had the best professors who not only taught us but also mentored us throughout our course. I had the best days in this university.
Course Curriculum Overview
The B.Sc in nursing course is a four years course. Each year we had to give one exam of 100 marks. Every exams consisted of written, practical and viva tests. Beside these tests we were also given several class tests and assignments to perform. The structure of our course was quite carefully composed. We were also given vacations, so that the course wouldn't become hectic upon us.
Placement Experience
The internship program in our batch was pretty satisfactory. We were given really good training for the internships. In this internship program we had to devote 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week. We were supervised by experienced nursing teachers during this internship.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My total fee for the course was around 1.61 Lakh which was quite reasonable, considering the facilities we were given in the university. We had to pay the fees on semester basis. Since I belonged from the SC category, I was eligible for one scholarship offered by the university.
Campus Life
Our university labs are equipped with all modern facilities so that no obstacles can come in the path of learning. We had more girl students than boys, but there no discrimination ever happened in our batch. I was friends with most of my classmates.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fees was 30,000 per year. Our hostel rules was quite strict in our university. We had to wear Punjabi dresses only and were not allowed to wear T-shirts or jeans. We also were not allowed to bring food from outside inside hostel premises.
Alumni/Alumna
All our seniors in our university were quite helpful and informative. They helped us in our studies as well as in the projects and assignments. Some of my seniors shared their personal experiences regarding internships which helped me a lot.
Admission
My admission was done by an entrance exam, conducted by the university. The admission process was pretty strict. The duration of the entrance exam was two hours and I had to answer few objective MCQ questions. Based on the score of the test they published a merit list, in which my name was on the second list. After two days, there was the registration process for all the selected candidates and from the next day itself our class got started.
Faculty
All our university professors were highly educated. They all were pretty supportive and helped us whenever we needed. They also assisted us in our internship programs. The faculty members of the institution were also extremely caring and compassionate towards us.
