IBRAHIM's Review On Footwear Design And Development Institute - [FDDI], Hyderabad

This programme includes various type of creative workshops , case studies , theoretical courses etc to initiate the students in the field of fashion design.The duration of the course of the course is four years divided into eight semesters.Total seats in our Hyderabad campus is around 75.The programmes are structured through a process of dialogue delivery and interaction with the fashion world , mainly focusing on the professional structure of the individual for the interest of companies as represented by the fashion/trade associations.

Most of the students from my college got placed in top notch companies like Pantaloons , Skechers , Firstcry , Etsy and many more. The average salary package offered by these companies was in the range of 4 to 6 lpa and the highest was 11 lpa . Almost 85% of the students got campus placement this year and the remaining opted for higher studies or their own family business . Summer internships are also provided by our college for those students who want to gain work experience and know about the technicality of the fashion industry.

The tuition fees is 80000 for one year . The exam fees fees is 2000 which we need to submit at the beginning of every year. Thus the total for one year comes down to approx 2 L including all the other expenses.The grand total for four years is 8.37 L . The fees is very feasible as compared to other top fashion colleges.

Inter design/School competition is held by our college council for students who want to showcase their talent.Last week a seminar was organised by the All India Rubber Industries Association to tell us about the rubber industry and their profit margins. Various kinds of Donation Drive is also held by our student council to help those in need.Conferences on recent trends in science , fashion , product sale , technology are also held at even semesters . The labs of our college are very neat and well equipped . Many sports activities on indoor and outdoor games are also organised by the college.

There is a playground for outdoor activities and we are also provided with a recreation center , a well maintained library with all the books , gym and an auditorium for special events and programs. You can also access on indoor playground from second year.There are separate hostels provided to both boys and girls. The rooms are quite spacious and we are also provided with an almirah to keep our personal belongings. The canteen and mess food are a little bit costly but quite good.

In order to get in this college with the relevant course you need to clear an entrance exam called AIST organised by All India examination board. Other than that you need to secure at least 50% in class 12th from a recognized board . Thus based on your rank & score you would be granted admission in the college.

The teachers in the retail and fashion department are really very knowledgeable .They basically focuses on giving more practical session rather than just mugging up the bookish language . This helps to understand the subject better. In the foundation course we are taught about the basics of fashion industry , so that we are industry ready at the end of the course and our ready to face any real time situations.
