Course Curriculum Overview
Our course curriculum was quite good. The curriculum was recognized by the council of architecture. Our course lasted for 5 years with 10 semesters. It was divided into 2 stages: sem 1 to sem 6 one stage and sem 7 to sem 10-second stage. We had practical training in the second stage, some of us went abroad for the training. I had the opportunity to go to France. In the last semester, we had to submit a thesis.
Placement Experience
My course had us doing practical training for 24 weeks. We could do the internship anywhere we wanted. The college gave us all the information we needed. Some students did their internships abroad in countries like France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I paid around 1 lac rupees for my course fees. With the amount of exposure and experience i got i find the fees realistic. There are additional money spent on the equipments, examination fees, hostel fees etc, but the cost seems practical on their part.
Campus Life
Our college had many activities and encouraged students to take part in them. They also conducted Annual functions, seminars from high profile guest lecturers, workshops by internationally credited people. Students are given many opportunities to hone their abilities.
Hostel Facilities
Our campus is very spacious and it has hotels for both girls and boys. I used to stay at a hostel near the campus, they had very good facilities. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, they had a recreation room and a cafeteria which gave us whatever we wanted.
Admission
My admission process to CCA was fairly simple. I had gotten 95 percent in my 12th and went to write the JEE exams and got 290 marks. Since I've always wanted to study architecture I applied to CCA. They looked over my marks and exam results before asking me to come in and complete my admission process.
Faculty
Our professors were all highly qualified and knowledgable. Many of them were the best in the industry. Prof. Jatinder Pal Singh was an amazing teacher who was both welcoming and kind. The teaching staff taught us a lot of techniques but also gave us adequate advice. Most importantly they were available to us when we needed them.
