The main aim of our college is to offer opportunities to students towards transformation,manifestation and a good channel of communication on the power of good inherent in sports culture.Our college is ranked second in sports university after Tamil Nadu Sports University.
Course Curriculum Overview
In order to be a professional in sports , a sports nutritionist should have the relevant knowledge in the key areas of the subject like dietetics,nutrition,supplements(for performance enhancement ,energy) which are taught by our faculty members.We are given assignments to work with the sportsperson/team to analysis our own performance and where do we stand in case of fitness.In the second year we would cover areas related to biochemistry,absorption of nutrients , dietary modification, metabolism & food industry,organs in the human bodies and their functions etc.
Placement Experience
Companies like Reebok ,Adidas,Under Armour,Decathlon sports visited our campus last year and selected a pool of candidates for top role positions. The highest package which was offered was 11 lpa which was grabbed by one of my senior.Many of the sports students are also selected by sportsman's to assist them as nutritionists.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tuition fees per semester is 10,000 . The students also have to submit 5000 for track uniform.The other fees include university development & sports fees , library fee , enrollment fee , examination form fee etc which are needed to be deposited at the start of foundation year.
Campus Life
Various kinds of sports tournaments and festivals are held at our college at even semesters.Conference and seminars on right type of nutrition is also held at our college.Cultural events such as dandiya, holi , diwali , bihu etc are also celebrated at our college to narrow the regional differences between students.
Admission
The admission is strictly done on the basis of merit . Other than that you need to score good marks in entrance test ( sports proficiency , written test , physical fitness test ) or any other procedure that may be adopted by the university.You can apply for this course via online mode.Pay the application fees and upload the necessary documents. Therefore you need to regularly check the college website for more updates related to the merit.
Faculty
The teachers of our college are skilled professionals.They train us in such a manner that we become professionals in our course of action.Doubts related to types of nutrients in sport-person's life is duly solved by our faculty members.Overall I would say that the teachers are really co-operative and provide us a healthy environment to work in.
