Course Curriculum Overview
It is a three year course which is closely supervised by the Bar Council. We are taught about labor laws, family & criminal laws, professional ethics, civil procedure code, Investment & securities law, land laws including the local and ceiling laws etc.The total seats in LLB is 60 in my college. We are given knowledge on the part that after completing the degree we need to clear All India Bar Exam if we want to practice law in India.
Placement Experience
Top legal firms such as AZB & Partners, Trilegal, S&R Associates, Amarchand, Khaitan & CO, J Sagar Associates etc visited our campus every year . Students are selected for the roles of legal adviser, lawyer, solicitor and in many cases students pursue the teaching line or professional lecturer as their profession. The salary can range between 50,000 to 1Lpm. Internships are also offered to students so that they learn about the Indian laws more accurately. The stipend starts from 15,000 per month.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tuition fees for one year is 1.65 L and the total for three years comes down to 4 L approx. For me the fees structure is quite feasible seeing the facilities that the college has provided us with. The hostel & mess fees are to paid separately.
Campus Life
Moot court sessions, debate competitions are organised in our college for students to show their speaking skills. We have State level sports competitions in which the students completed on a larger field in their filed of activity to win the medal. Dance competitions, industrial visits, visits to lok adalath & forensic lab , jail visits also happen at our college.Inter collegiate cultural fest is organised every year to bring the students closer and uphold their social and regional interests.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel has three wings . The total number of rooms is 154 which are divided into double and single occupancy. Separate hostels are allotted to boys and girls. Hot water facilities, washing machine, WiFi facility, free parking lot for students, study room, sick room, water coolers and a separate room for watching tv. We have a separate mess area for boys and girls. I would rate the mess food 3.5/5.
Admission
The application process in this college is offline. Moreover the admissions are strictly done on the basis of merit. You need to have secure at lest 45% marks in your 12th standard from a recognized university and have a graduation degree. 5% relaxation is offered to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC category. The students who have an open degree in Bachelors program can also apply to this course. The age limit is 30 for general category and 35 for the reserved category. The age of the students seeking admission should not be less than the prescribed age. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of our marks and if lucky you will be granted admission in the college.
Faculty
The teachers of the college are trained professionals in their course. They have an experience of 10+ years in the law field. They give us valuable knowledge about environment law & Law of Contract and how the proceeding are held in court related to any criminal procedure. The doubts are carefully listened and solved by our teachers.
